Lasse Kristiansen

Let me introduce you to @OneWayCrazyy - a player who has now made it to the World Cup twice in his career. No one ever thought it was possible. Except him. Signed as a reserve player in his first season in the eSuperliga. Ended up being a key player. Signed as a reserve for Singularity. Second season: Won the domestic league and was awarded as the eSuperliga MVP 🏆. He was a huge underdog in the FIFAe 1v1 World Cup Playoffs. Still qualified. Let’s then take a step back in time before talking about his next career move. In the third season of the eSuperliga, a young, lifelong Brøndby fan stood amongst hundreds of supporters cheering for his heroes in the yellow and blue shirt. I’m of course talking about Lasse. Before winning the eSuperliga, he missed out on the eSuperliga Finals twice by quite a big margin, finding himself at the bottom of the table. He then signed for his favourite team, Brøndby, and you’ve probably already guessed it by now: as a reserve player. He once again broke limitations and found himself at the World Cup in 2v2. It probably would be fair to assume that he wasn’t the favourite to start in the eClub World Cup either. Yet he, in company with Klenke, was very close to knocking RB Leipzig out of the tournament. I don’t think I’ll offend him by saying he isn’t the most talented player out there. But he is definitely the hardest working player. No one, and I mean no one, will ever match the work ethic of Lasse. It’s impossible. Just tell him he can’t do it, and he’ll prove you wrong. Lasse has no limitations. If any other people went through what he did they would have given up. But he never did, and that’s why he’s had such an amazing career. As his former coach I can honestly tell you that I knew Lasse was good, but if you told me a couple of years ago that he was going to participate in two World Cups I would probably think you were being delusional. I benched him in his first season, as I didn’t think he was at the level required. He never kicked up a fuss, even when he performed and I still put him back on the bench. His response was loud and clear: he always worked even harder, and proved me wrong. Of course. I’ve coached some unbeliveable players in my career, but no one has ever come close to the mindset and mentality of him. And I doubt no one will ever be able to replicate the mindset he’s got. And I haven’t even mentioned how good of a human he is. I’m so proud of you, my friend ♥️ This guy is the real deal ⭐️
