The Judge in the Katiso Molefe case is Thifhelimbilu Phanuel Mudau. He agreed to the relaxation of the reporting times for Katiso Molefe, to be able to travel anywhere in South Africa and report at local police station where he is.
I doubt the Investigating Officers, Witnesses A,B and C, are happy where they are with this ruling. But it the Prosecutor who did not oppose. 🤷🏽♀️

The Judge in the Katiso Molefe matter insisted all Counsel must block three terms in 2027 for this matter to be heard and concluded. He's very strict. 😂 He said he doesn't want a trial that will run piecemeal like the Senzo Meyiwa one. "We need to run an efficient system here, don't you agree Mr. Macpherson, Mr. Joubert? You guys have been doing this for many years". 😅
The Advocates grumbled but he pinned them down. July 2027 till first term in 2028 if needs be, he said.
Currently, Counsel for Musa Kekana and Tiego Mabusela, accused 1 and 2 with Matlala in the trial within trial, are representing them in this case too. So, the Prosecutor and all of them had to agree to block their diaries.

National Treasure
Colonel Ntate Paul Khumalo is a senior, highly decorated SAPS officer who rose to national prominence through his leadership role in the KwaZulu Natal Political Killings Task Team (PKTT) and his detailed, high impact testimony at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
He entered the SAPS in 2004, completing basic training at the Oudtshoorn Academy before beginning visible policing duties at Elsies River Police Station. The following year he transferred to the elite National Intervention Unit (NIU) in Cape Town.
By 2011 he had been promoted to Warrant Officer and posted to the National Commissioner’s office. In 2017 he advanced to Captain within Human Resource Development.
He moved into operational planning in 2019 and has since served as an operational commander in the service.
In 2018 he joined the newly established PKTT as a tactical combat commander, later taking on further leadership roles within the unit (including TAG JOC and Majoc command positions) before transferring to SAPS national head office in 2025.
