One of the less glamorous risks for Bitcoin treasury companies is index methodology.
A recent MSCI decision has put companies whose balance sheets are heavily concentrated in digital assets under the spotlight. Strategy is the obvious name investors are watching.
That does NOT mean Strategy automatically has to sell BTC. Those are two very different things.
But it does expose a weakness in the corporate Bitcoin strategy:

One green candle can change the mood.
It cannot erase a week of selling pressure.
I'll take a confirmed recovery over the excitement of catching the exact bottom any day.
Oil prices pulled back on Monday, giving bonds and U.S. stock futures some breathing room.
But Brent crude was still around $108 a barrel.
That's the part I wouldn't ignore.
That leaves central banks with a difficult trade-off: support growth without letting inflation become persistent again.
For crypto, this matters through the cost of money and investor appetite for risk.
This week was a good reminder that the market can humble almost everyone at once.
AI stocks got hit.
Crypto struggled.
Inflation surprised to the upside.
Investors started questioning trades that looked obvious just days ago.
And suddenly, everyone had a new explanation.
I think there's value in stepping away from that noise.
You don't have to predict every macro move.
You don't have to buy every dip.
You don't have to turn every headline into a position.

Crypto ETF flows finally showed some life on October 13.
Bitcoin funds pulled in around $175.7M. Ethereum funds added roughly $24.8M, ending a 10-session outflow streak.
That's encouraging, but I wouldn't call it a reversal just yet.
The bigger picture still matters. After days of heavy withdrawals, investors need more than one positive session to rebuild confidence.
Here's what I'd watch next:
Do inflows continue?
Does ETH start catching up?
Can prices hold up without another wave of forced selling?
There's a difference between saying “institutions are selling” and saying “institutional demand has weakened.”
The first sounds dramatic. The second is more useful.
Recent U.S. spot ETF outflows show that demand has been uneven, especially for ETH. But a few days of redemptions don't tell us everything about the broader market, and they don't prove that every large investor has turned bearish.
