gm frens 🤍 new month, new things to look forward to. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐙𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫? there's quite a bit to look forward to as we step into a new month. first up, 𝐍𝐔𝟕. @Zcash 's next major network upgrade is approaching, with mainnet activation planned for November 5. here are some of the changes coming with it: • faster block times: target block spacing moves from 75 seconds to 25 seconds, making confirmations arrive more frequently. • network sustainability: 60% of transaction fees will be set aside in a reserve to support future miner rewards, with reissuance scheduled to begin in 2031. • more shielded capacity: improvements to shielded transaction capacity, particularly for Orchard, alongside measures to protect wallets from spam. • a new chapter for the network: NU7 also disables legacy transaction formats and the old Sprout pool. if you still have funds in Sprout, make sure you migrate them before the upgrade. but beyond NU7, there's still so much happening across the ecosystem, from wallet development and infrastructure to new applications being built around Zcash. i'm particularly looking forward to seeing how these developments translate into better experiences for everyday users. November should be an interesting month for Zcash. 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐮𝐩𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬. 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞. 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞. here's to another month of learning, building and studying privacy. 🤍
