Tradermayne questions whether local AI on your phone could affect OpenAI and Anthropic. "He effectively was telling me that we’re not far from a place where the models that we have today, like 95% of them, are gonna be able to be run locally from your phone. So does that change the required expenditures or the profitability of some of these, and these would be open-source models, not closed-source. Would that change the viability of some of these companies, Anthropic, OpenAI, et cetera?" Feat. @Tradermayne

Tradermayne illustrates his plan to long near:native. "Near’s got stuff going on, right. Near’s also absorbed a ton of selling. NEAR is a coin that I like. If we get a pullback on Bitcoin, you can fill some NEAR down here." Feat. @Tradermayne

Tradermayne says the institutional bid for bitcoin:native has changed the bear/bull market. "We have the biggest banks, the richest people on the planet, telling you that they think Bitcoin is going to be not just the best asset in the last decade, it’s going to be the best-performing asset in the next decade. And they all want and have exposure to this. And stuff like this is part of why I think we could have had a very truncated and shallow bear market, there is just an institutional bid for Bitcoin. There is institutional interest in Bitcoin." Feat. @Tradermayne

One of the biggest market weeks of the quarter and it kicks off with a full moon. 🌕 Major earnings, the FOMC, inflation data, consumer confidence, and GDP, there's no shortage of potential market-moving catalysts. Here's what's on the calendar: Monday, October 26 • Verizon earnings • Cadence Design Systems • Celestica (CLS) Tuesday, October 27 • U.S. Consumer Confidence • Durable Goods Orders • Boeing, Coca-Cola, Visa, and PayPal earnings Wednesday, October 28 • FOMC interest rate decision • Fed Chair press conference • Microsoft, Alphabet, and Ford earnings Thursday, October 29 • U.S. Q3 GDP • PCE Inflation • Initial Jobless Claims • Amazon, Intel, Caterpillar, Eli Lilly, and Mastercard earnings Friday, October 30 • Employment Cost Index • Chevron, ExxonMobil, and AbbVie earnings • Bitcoin monthly options expiration For the moon-cycle traders out there, here's something interesting. A historical study covering major U.S. stock indexes and 24 other countries found that stock returns around new moons were roughly twice as high as returns around full moons. That doesn't mean a full moon guarantees a selloff, and the pattern hasn't been consistently established as a reliable trading edge. Whatever happens, this is one of those weeks where risk management matters more than trying to predict every move. 🍿

Tradermayne shares that he's expecting volatility heading into midterms "I think we’re in for some volatility and craziness going into midterms. So midterms are within the next couple of weeks. So I think seeing some fuckery going into the midterms, along with just where things are with the Fed decision coming soon." Feat. @Tradermayne

Tradermayne outlines his thoughts on @ThinkingUSD. "You look at Flood and the posting that he’s making about being bearish equities, not wanting to hold Bitcoin in the face of a potential equities correction. He’s operating at an entirely different level than you are, and he’s playing a completely different game. Flood is managing a family office, which means it’s essentially a hedge fund, but it’s his money. So they are positioning themselves across a variety of different markets, not just crypto, cash, commodities, AI, tech, whatever. Crypto is part of it." Feat. @Tradermayne

Opportunity is knocking. In 10 previous gold-miner breadth washouts like this, $GDX was higher one month later in 8 cases, averaging a +5.5% return. But only 4 out of 10 continued climbing in the following two months. potential rebound is likely, tho not necessarily a complete trend reversal, regardless.. it's worth looking into it.
Gold stocks have rarely been this oversold. ~92% of stocks in the gold miners ETF, $GDX, are now trading below their 50-day moving average, the highest proportion since late July. This figure has risen +80 percentage points in just 21 sessions. Furthermore, 90% of stocks in $GDX are trading below their 200-day moving average, the highest proportion in 3 months. Similar setups occurred in March 2024 and December 2024. In the following month, $GDX rallied +21.5% and +15.4%, respectively. History suggests the selloff in gold miners is nearing exhaustion.

Tradermayne breaks down the below-$60 K scenario for bitcoin:native. "Scenario four, which I think is the most unlikely scenario, is total destruction in equities, rate hikes, stock market pulls back 15%, 20%, and we get some sort of doomer pull on Bitcoin, and we somehow make a lower low, which is still within line with the four-year cycle." Tradermayne gives his take on @elonmusk wealth and world hunger. "There's people who are going to try and tell you that Elon’s money would be better given to Africa and it would solve world hunger. As if we’re going to give people in Uganda a billion dollars and they’re going to create internet and flying cars. We’ve given trillions of dollars there. The problem is not necessarily the money, it’s the corruption." Feat. @Tradermayne

A serious security vulnerability has been discovered in one of Bitcoin's oldest and most established wallets. Electrum has released an emergency security update after identifying a vulnerability that could allow malicious servers to trick users into sending their Bitcoin to an attacker-controlled address. How the exploit works: Electrum allows users to connect to external servers to access Bitcoin transaction data. According to the security advisory, a malicious server could manipulate how an unconfirmed transaction appears inside the wallet. If a user then attempted to speed up that transaction by increasing its fee through Replace-By-Fee (RBF), they could unknowingly authorize a completely different transaction sending their BTC to an attacker. The developers have confirmed that malicious servers have already attempted to exploit this vulnerability. • Update Electrum to the latest security-patched version (4.8.3 or newer). • Always verify the recipient address and transaction amount on your hardware wallet's screen before signing. • Download wallet updates exclusively from the official website • Never assume that a transaction is safe simply because it appears inside a trusted wallet application.

Tradermayne shares his plan to long ethereum:0x514910771af9ca656af840dff83e8264ecf986ca "Bitcoin is technically on support, but if Bitcoin does roll over, I think a chart like this is going to run its range low. So if I wanted to long LINK, I’d probably look to long it on a run of the range low. If we get it, it doesn’t mean we’re going to get it, but yeah." Feat. @Tradermayne

Tradermayne outlines his thoughts on $HOOD. "You kind of want to see it find some demand here. Your concern with this is this is like a complacency shoulder. Like that is, that would have been a short right there because this looks like complacency now. Looks like your blow-off top, bearish retest." Feat. @Tradermayne

Tradermayne reveals that even good renters are now suffering. "Good quality tenants with Class A credit, their credit is going down. They’re paying their rent via credit cards. Their bank account balances are lower than usual and they’re stretched thin. They’re starting to see these renters who are considered A renters move down a tier. At Class B, there’s too many apartments. So there’s too much new stuff and not enough buyers. There’s a chance it’s just a decade of tolerable pain." Feat. @Tradermayne

Tradermayne discusses the burnout he experienced from trading and building Breakout. "The problem that I was having was I had the inability to turn off. So whether I was constantly checking my phone to look at the markets because I was in a trade, so I’m up late at night, I’m looking at my phone first thing in the morning. I had my business that I was running constantly in Slack, getting emails, getting pings. There was no off." Feat. @Tradermayne

One of the world's largest banks has officially entered the retail stablecoin market, bringing digital currencies to millions of existing customers. HSBC has launched RedCoin (RCHKD), its first Hong Kong dollar-backed stablecoin, through its popular PayMe payment application. HSBC is introducing stablecoin functionality into an existing ecosystem with: • More than 3.3 MILLION users. • Over 100,000 supported merchants. • Instant peer-to-peer transfers and merchant payments. • A regulated stablecoin redeemable 1:1 for Hong Kong dollars. Eligible PayMe users will be able to activate their stablecoin wallets directly within the app as the rollout expands over the coming days. The bank also plans to integrate RedCoin into its Hong Kong mobile banking app later this year, allowing customers to use the stablecoin to subscribe to tokenized investment products, including an upcoming share class of its HKD money market fund. Future expansion into corporate and institutional payments is also planned.

Tradermayne reveals when Anthropic plans to IPO. "Anthropic plans to publicly file its S-1 as early as late October 2026 and begin marketing shares to investors during the week of November 9th and complete its initial IPO by mid-November. So we’re talking within the next four weeks as of the most recent information on the Anthropic IPO." Feat. @Tradermayne

Tradermayne highlights why Chinese tech stocks are falling. "They were hoping Beijing would spend big to boost the economy, but growth came in at 4.6% for the first nine months, close enough to the government’s target. Now Wall Street thinks that Beijing feels no pressure to step in. Regulators are trying to tighten quality control in online shopping, Alibaba. And many Chinese billionaires keep their wealth often in their company shares in trusts set up outside of China. Beijing now wants a 20% tax on the income from those trusts, and today is the deadline to report and pay. To find that cash, some of them have been selling shares." Feat. @Tradermayne
