I have spent the last few years making a movie as I try to learn #Blender. Now I'm 2/3rds of the way through production I feel it's probably time I post a little teaser! I present to you, Kosmic Kidnap -
Using the clock change to tell myself that getting up at 9:55 on a Sunday makes me a respectable human, even though that’s basically 11am
The battery in my iPhone 13 is inflating to the point where my screen is bent, and O2 keep pushing back the delivery of my iPhone 18. I'm living life on the edge, knowing this old phone in my pocket could blow my genitals clean off at any moment 💥
Sorry for being a nerd, but I need to know why they duplicated a chunk of Michael Sheen’s hair in The Traitors.
Pulling the "hottest summer on record" rug from under us overnight was cruel. I like cozy winter days, but I'm still wearing shorts right now 🥶
It’s good that even though the BBC doesn’t have advert breaks, you can still go to the toilet during The Traitors when they do the money tasks.
My dad’s storyboards for The Trap Door were wildly detailed for some reason. And then he just tossed them once finished.
This one was preserved and recently posted by Steve Cox who was making merchandise for the show (Not to be confused with Steve Box who worked on the show)
This is wonderful - Steve Box visiting all the locations Trap Door was made in and talking about his experiences on the show ❤️ - youtu.be/oQX9zQmCLIM?si=GVWR…
Absolutely wonderful Trap Door/Evil Dead stop motion tribute here. What a gem. Starts a minute or so in - youtube.com/watch?v=49gjetmj…
Happy birthday to the show that did a lot for our family! Aired 40 years ago today for the first time.
This pilot episode was actually made two years prior, in what became my bedroom. You can see how low-fi it is by how un-smooth the characters are. Still has the charm though 😊
40 YEARS AGO TODAY: "'ello!" The first of forty visits to the cellar of the monster's castle that features The Trap Door, by association the glory of a Willie Rushton voiceover, and the stop-motion skill of future Wallace & Gromit co-director Steve Box. youtube.com/watch?v=mluYB9Yf…
My kids turning 14 and 11 this week is absolute insanity. I still feel like a new parent, waiting for the parent knowledge and skill to kick in at any second.

James Acaster has said less in this than he did in Ghostbusters Frozen Empire #CelebrityTraitors
If true, I don't mind it. In this digital-world, cinematographers have been getting far too close to the action. Now we're going back to having shots with room to breathe like in the 35mm film days. It looks so much better when you make the most of high resolution on a big screen
My dad had such an irrational hatred for Esther Rantzen that he named a Trap Door episode after her. And then his company got the gig to make the That’s Life title sequence, where he found her to be an absolutely delightful person and he took it all back 😅 Sad news.
