Every game matters now. Every win counts.
Hawkeye Nation, can Iowa make a run at the top 12?
Iowa opened its second season under Ben McCollum with a convincing 76β54 victory over Lipscomb last night, and one of the biggest stories was Storm Lake, Iowa native Jaidyn Coon.
In his Hawkeye debut, Coon led Iowa with 12 points, added 6 rebounds and an assist, and earned a spot in the starting lineup for the second half.
Not bad for your first night in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
The Hawkeyes weren't perfect offensively, but their defense, depth and energy offered plenty of reasons for optimism as McCollum begins year two in Iowa City.
And for Coon? It's only one game, but the Iowa kid certainly made a first impression.
Hawkeye fans, what impressed you most about last night's win? π€π
Ayyyy! Even the Fonz is a Caitlin Clark fan. ππ€π
Henry Winkler shared this selfie with CC, writing, βWhat a thrill to meet the incredible Ms Clark.β

Who's ready for another season of Hawkeye Women's Basketball?
16 years ago today, I made a decision that changed my life forever.
I quit drinking. And I haven't looked back.
A year later, in 2011, I started The Hawkeye State. What began as a little outlet for my love of Iowa has become something I never could have imagined.
Between my incredible wife Brenda, our son, Hawkeye Nation, and the amazing community of Caitlin Clark fans, I've found my place in this world. And whether you realize it or not, so many of you have helped keep me going.
Sobriety didn't take the fun out of my life. It gave me a life worth celebrating.
These photos are 16 years of memories, laughter, family, football, basketball, and a whole lot of black and gold.
I'm incredibly proud of these 16 years, grateful for the people who share this journey with me, and happier than I've ever been.
16 years sober. A lifetime of memories. And the best is still ahead.
Thank you for being part of my story.
Go Hawks! #sober #sobrietybirthday
