Roman holiday 🏛️ Stayed at @sixsenses #Rome, my 7th Six Senses hotel, back in Sep. Set in a former noble palazzo, the hotel did something rather amazing upon opening, when it renovated the facade of the adjacent San Marcello church, as part of its sustainability pledge. Bravo!

Home in Rome 🍸 It was lovely staying at @jk_places Roma a few weeks back. The hotel proudly showcases Italian design and craftsmanship. Chic, boutique, discreet. Felt like a gentlemen’s club that everyone’s welcome to call their home while in town! #JKPlace #Rome #luxurytravel

Culture fix 🎭 I enjoyed my stay at @StRegisRome, which (behind its glitzy veneer courtesy of a makeover by Pierre-Yves Rochon) weaves cultural storytelling into the guest experience through collaborations with local art galleries, the Opera Roma and local brands.

‘Paradise on Earth’ 🕊️ It’s what Jean Cocteau called the @HotelDeRussie, these days part of the @RF_Hotels portfolio, in 1917. From the secret garden to a recent refresh of 39 of the hotel’s rooms and suites, I found this to be the perfect hotel to hide away from Roman madness.

Legend status 🛎️ Arguably Rome’s most iconic hotel, @Hassler_Roma overlooks the Spanish Steps and features original artworks across all rooms. The hotel also serves the ‘best Bellini ever’ according to Princess Diana, a claim I rather enjoyed investigating during my recent stay.

Home game 💎 An amazing feat by unabashedly luxe @bulgarihotels opening a hotel in @Bulgariofficial's hometown of Rome last year, not least because the property’s location directly across the Mausoleum of Emperor Augustus – visible from my room a few weeks ago – was excellent.

Call Me by Your Name 🍑 A wonderful privilege to have stayed at the new Palazzo Talia in September, the first hotel designed in large parts by Luca Guadagnino, who directed some of my favourite films – from CMBYN to I am Love. Part of @SLHLuxuryHotels #Rome #Italy

Wonderful #Jaipur 🫖 A truly special couple of days at the recently opened Raffles Jaipur, a Mughal masterpiece surrounded by fortresses and all sorts of maharaja mania to feast your eyes on. Behind its white facade, the hotel is all pastel hues and displays of craftsmanship.

Namaste, Udaipur 🫖 A short but sweet stay at @RafflesUdaipur, which is set on a private 21-acre island on Udai Sagar Lake. The complex is immense but the devil is in the details: I love the hand-painted murals, jali panels and the elegant Indian chhatris on the hotel’s rooftop.

Uluwatu 🌅 It was great to be back in Bali for a few days at Six Senses Uluwatu, where the ocean is so powerful and the sound of waves washing ashore so healing. Always a blessing when @sixsenses looks after you. #OutThereMag #luxurytravel #Bali

Bali 🇮🇩 Delighted to be back on the island that never gets old, not least because new openings like #UmanaBali, the first resort by LXR Hotels in Southeast Asia, are keeping it young. Umana is an all-villa property and mine boasts a pool and a jacuzzi skirted by frangipani trees.
