The definition of “not proud”. Four hour meeting at Goldman. Shamelessly hoovered up every notebook from the boardroom table which hadn’t been used. Even asked staff at their bar for a bag to take them home in. They’re nice notebooks, what can I say?

Asda is going bust... stripped of its assets by Private Equity like BHS and Debenhams were. Now paying rent on assets it used to own... and interest on debts to fund it's own purchase. When will we ever learn.

Day appears to have started with me being issued with an avalanche transceiver to strap to my body. Really excited for my first high altitude mine visit, in the high Andes in Chile.

So, so thrilled for my former colleagues. They stuck with WEC through the hard times. They endured heartbreak and even when they won they were accused (ignorantly given BoP) of beating nobody. Well now they’ve beaten everybody. Will raise one to you later guys.
🏆 Victory in a truly epic Le Mans! These 24 hours had everything – thrilling competition, heart-stopping overtakes and an incredible climax 🥳 Our TR010 HYBRIDs overcame it all to earn our sixth @24hoursoflemans win 🙌 #TOYOTARACING #TR010HYBRID #LeMans24 #WEC @FIAWEC

This is my life now. I come home to be enthusiastically greeted by a hen before I’m enthusiastically greeted by my own dog. The dog is literally a worse dog than the chicken. A new low for him.

Rolled out the pizza oven in the building site which was once part of our garden. Like a Siren call to morons.

We have a church we’re buried in back the Forest and that’s where I’ll end up, but the view from the village church here where home is these days isn’t bad as a back up.

Both the big things (although one makes the concept of “big” very relative compared to the other) now wearing the badge of what might be my favourite place in the world. #wy

Over at @NFUtweets, my former stomping ground, it’s the end of @terry_jones74’s last day as DG after a decade of brilliant, vital leadership through tough challenge after tough challenge. Superb boss, inspirational leader, staunch friend.

4-1 on George Elek tweets “If we draw a pentangle and summon a level six demon who can alter time we can go back and replay all our games since 1934 and we’ll win the Champions League in May. It’s not over yellows. Those are just facts.” #oufc

The big Ford has had a lot of upgrades recently, but none of them as good as adding Rudy as an option.

It’s coming on. A bit of love, some hard work, a few £ and a recognition that the first gen Super Duty is a seminal piece of American automotive history - it’s “when trucks changed” (which is why it’s one of the rare trucks worth a lot more in Oklahoma than Oxfordshire).

Nine years since I walked in to Kintaro Hattori’s first ever shop, in Ginza, Tokyo, and bought this. Rarely worn now, but will never be sold.

Since the doors and windows were removed from the old utility ahead of its demolition the brave chicken can now get in. It keeps trying to rush the old inner door to get in to the house and gets repelled, but in a sinister development it’s now discovered…the cat flap.
