🪶 “Parental Alienation and Misogyny Across Cultures: A Qualitative Study.” Participant Recruitment for Research on Parental Alienation This study aims to explore the psychological and cultural experiences of mothers who experience parental alienation, as well as the influence of social and gender norms on these experiences. We are reaching out to request your support. As we have been approached by students from Universitas Airlangga ( based in Indonesian) They are looking for: •Mothers who have experienced parental alienation, or •Close figures (e.g., children, family members, or trusted persons) who have witnessed parental alienation. 📢Statement on the Review of the Presumption of Parental Involvement Parental Alienation Awareness (PAA) welcomes the government’s review of the publication of the Ministry of Justice’s review into the presumption of parental involvement in the Children Act 1989. The review shows something we’ve known for a long time: that the statutory “presumption” is seldom mentioned in court decisions, the wider system tends to act as if children should always have contact with both parents, even when there are real risks of harm. In other words, removing this rule would be mostly a symbolic change. It won’t fix the deeper problems in the family court system, and PAA doesn’t think simply removing it is the answer. PAA believe that children do best when they have a loving and safe relationship with both parents. But we also know alienating behaviour, coercive control, and gatekeeping can be just as damaging as physical abuse. These forms of emotional or psychological abuse are often ignored or dismissed as “just conflict” within the family court system. If a parent is safe, stopping them from seeing their child is harmful. But if a parent is genuinely dangerous, the courts must be strong enough to limit or stop contact. PAA supports survivors and reduces isolation by providing peer support and practical guidance. We raise awareness of the emotional and psychological abuse inflicted when one parent deliberately alienates a child from the other. We advocate for equality in parenting post‑separation and for careful, evidence‑based assessments that prioritise the welfare and safety of children. Our concern is that the current public narrative, driven by some campaign groups, paints all non‑resident parents as potential abusers. There is no evidence to support this view; the vast majority of non‑resident parents are safe and loving. They deserve fair consideration, not blanket suspicion. We note concerns voiced by various practitioners that government announcements can be more about optics than real change. PAA shares this caution. Removing the presumption, in isolation, will not ensure better outcomes for children. Indeed, we do not support the call to remove the presumption; rather, we urge policymakers to focus on balanced, evidence‑based assessments that prioritise safety for children and meaningful relationships with both parents where appropriate. What is needed is a holistic reform of the family justice system, including improved risk assessment, the recognition of emotional abuse and alienation through the involvement of psychologists and better trained professionals, and accountability for those who weaponise safeguarding narratives to exclude a parent. PAA will continue to work with professionals, survivors, and policymakers to ensure that reforms protect children from all forms of harm. We will monitor the implementation of the review’s recommendations, advocate for balanced legislation, and amplify the voices of families who have been silenced by alienation. Our message is simple: support survivors, reduce isolation, raise awareness of the hidden abuse of parental alienation, and uphold equality within parenting.

It’s great to see the series Insomnia on channel 5 highlighting parental alienation, even though it’s not the show’s main focus. By showing alienating behaviours and using the term directly, it helps raise awareness of a real issue many face without turning it into a central plot point. A small but powerful inclusion, thank you channel 5 for raising awareness of this issue. @channel5_tv youtu.be/wgWwQOtrLkU?si=R_x3… #ParentalAlienation #parentalalienationawareness

🌈 This Month is Pride – And We Stand With All Parents 🌈 At Parental Alienation Awareness, we recognize that June is Pride Month – a time to celebrate love, identity, and the LGBTQ+ community. We also want to take this moment to acknowledge and support all parents affected by parental alienation. Every day, we hear from mothers, fathers, and caregivers from all backgrounds — across races, religions, genders, and identities — who are seeking support and understanding. LGBTQ+ parents often face additional layers of discrimination and misunderstanding, making their journey through alienation especially complex and painful. We see you, we hear you, and we are here for you. No one should have to face parental alienation alone. This Pride Month, and always, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting every parent navigating this difficult path. #PrideMonth #ParentalAlienationAwareness #SupportAllParents #LGBTQSupport

💙 Happy Father’s Day 💚 Today, some dads will wake up to breakfast, cards, gifts and little arms wrapped around their necks. And some… won’t hear a word. No call. No text. No visit. Not because they don’t care. But because they’re being kept away. Silenced. Erased. Forgotten on paper, but never in their hearts. 💔 This is for the alienated fathers. For the dads crying in silence. For the ones staring at court documents instead of crayon drawings. For the men who show up every way they’re allowed to and still get painted as absent. We see your pain. But more importantly, we see your love. 🖤 Love doesn’t disappear just because contact is cut off. 🖤 Fatherhood doesn’t end because someone said so. 🖤 Your child may not hear your voice right now, but one day, they will hear your truth. You are STILL a dad. You are STILL worthy. And your fight matters. If today hurts, that doesn’t make you weak. It makes you human. And it makes your love unshakable. So if no one says it to you today: Happy Father’s Day. We mean it. We see you. We stand with you. #TeamPAA 💚🎗️💙 #HappyFathersDay #ParentalAlienation #ParentalAlienationAwareness #FathersDay

💙 With Father's Day Around the Corner, Take Care of Yourself 💙 As Father’s Day approaches, many are preparing to celebrate, but for some, this day brings pain, longing, and silence. For alienated parents especially fathers this time can be a powerful reminder of loss and separation. 💔 👉 Whether you’re a parent facing alienation, an adult child navigating complex family dynamics, or someone supporting a loved one through this, please remember: 🧠 Your mental health matters. 💬 Your voice deserves to be heard. 💙 Your grief is valid. This weekend, give yourself space to feel. Rest if you need to. Reach out to those who understand. And know: you are not alone. At PAA we stand with every parent, grandparent, and child affected by parental alienation. Let’s work together to raise awareness, support healing, and bring hope back into broken bonds. 📢 Share this message to support those who may be struggling this Father’s Day. #TeamPAA 💚🎗️💙#ParentalAlienationAwareness #FathersDaySupport #YouAreNotAlone #MentalHealthMatters #HopeAndHealing #FathersDay2025

𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐍… Their childhood memories. Their sense of safety. Their right to love 𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐇 parents… torn away. 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜. It rips children from the arms of loving parents. It poisons minds with lies. It leaves scars that may never heal. It's 𝐍𝐎𝐓 a "custody dispute.” It's 𝐍𝐎𝐓 "just a phase.” It's 𝐍𝐎𝐓 "parental conflict." 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐞. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐞.
