It is now 23 days since I was abducted, tortured for four days, and dumped in a forest along the Nairobi–Mombasa Highway. I am still trying to understand the full extent of the injuries the abductors sent by William Ruto inflicted on my neck and leg. To this day, I have not been able to walk.
As I continue my recovery, my comrades are organizing a solidarity event in my home village to visit me and show their support. The event will bring together comrades and members of the local community.
The event will take place on Saturday, 24 October 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Kaleym Davy: Black Youth Shot Dead by Toronto Cops. On August 6, undercover Toronto cops shot 19-year-old Kaleym Davy in the back of the head. The cops lied that the vehicle—rented by a family member—was stolen. Community members and family have been protesting at Toronto Police Headquarters demanding “Justice for Kaleym.”
A serious mobilization of the city unions—CUPE 416, CUPE 79, ATU—won’t undo Kaleym’s death, but it could strike a blow against the cops’ routine, deadly, racist violence. Socialists should be fighting in the unions against the CUPE leaders who tie workers to “progressive” mayor, Olivia Chow (hailed by the cop “union” for her loyalty), and prevent them from acting in defense of the black population and in their own interests.

The demand that all letters be submitted in Ukrainian is an attempt to discourage and suppress public expressions of support for Bogdan Syrotiuk which have flooded in since August 10, when the Pervomaisk City District Court in Mykolaiv sentenced the 27-year-old Syrotiuk founder and leader of the Young Guard of Bolshevik-Leninists, to 15 years in prison for “high treason … under martial law.”
A petition posted on the World Socialist Web Site has been signed by thousands. Letters of protest have poured in from more than 30 countries.

Yesterday's noon rally and 130pm court time for the Crockett 10 drew another outpouring of support from over 80 trade unionists, leftists, and activists including black filmmaker Boots Riley. Again the DA did not proceed with charges but has left the threat of filing them hanging over the heads of the defendants. This is meant to intimidate picketers if the ILWU Local 6 warehouse workers strike again when the 30 day cooling off period at C&H ends on September 30. To win against the sugar barons the ILWU will have to build mass picket lines that shut down production at C&H!
DA forced to back off Crockett 10, at least for now!
Over 70 Bay Area trade unionists, with ILWU at its core and a large numbers of ATU, IBEW, IUPAT, Richmond teachers, leftists and activists, turned out this morning for the first Crockett 10 court date.
Faced with this outpouring of labor solidarity, the DA is not pressing their bogus charges, at least for now. But the threat that the DA could refile charges still hangs over the defendants' heads.
The labor movement and left must continue to fight against any against prosecution of the Crockett 10 and to fight for victory of the ILWU Local 6 warehouse workers against the C&H Sugar bosses.
Rally for the remaining defendants at noon!
An injury to one is an injury to all!

It is in the interest of the whole labor movement to fight for the Crockett 10, and also against all-sided government repression of the left and the oppressed.
We often warn that the repression used against anti-ICE protesters, pro-Palestine activists and others will also be used against workers fighting for better pay and conditions.
What is happening to the Crockett 10 in California--ILWU members and supporters attacked by cops during the C&H Sugar strike--is a good example.

Another Police/Zionist Frame-Up—Drop the Charge Against Ahmad Hajahmad Jarrar!
On July 22, Palestine militant Ahmad Jarrar was hit with a bogus “terrorism” charge based on statements supposedly made at Palestine protests in Toronto two years ago. Specifically, the charge is participating in or contributing to activities of a terrorist group (Hamas). Equating speech with “terrorism” marks a huge escalation in the pro-Zionist rulers’ drive to criminalize any defense of the Palestinian people in the face of Israel’s ongoing genocide.
The left and Palestinian groups must unite in coordinated actions to get this frame-up thrown in the garbage where it belongs. Defending Ahmad Jarrar is a matter of self-defense, and a victory would strengthen the left and the struggle for Palestine liberation. The Canadian government got away with banning Samidoun. Let’s spike this one now!
