ALT A white background with black text overlayed. Text reads “A year ago, Portland lost a friend. I've sat here for the last hour with my phone in my hand, trying to form a coherent thought in my mind that accurately reflects how reel today, and how 've felt over the last 365 davs and I can't. Grief is a weird thing. I was there for two years, and wasnt that night. I stillive She was a very sweet, funny and strong woman. It's been hard seeing so many people I love hurt so deeply. His actions changed peoples lives forever. I'm still fucking angry. I've often felt like I wasn't allowed to be vocal about my feelings, because I wasn't there, because I wasn't shot. But we should be making space for everyone affected, no matter how big or small, be to able to grieve. ALT Continued… “Antifascists are taken from us every day. What happened here could have happened anywhere. This could have been anyone. I'm sorry it was here, and I'm sorry it was her. To anyone mourning anywhere, I'm sorry. I share your pain. But today I'm reminded of something that was very much her, and that is don't play the cards you were dealt. Fight the dealer. Don't give up. Rest in Peace, T. Rex”
