I really love storytelling in card art. I came across this fun detail, and it totally caught my attention.
Check out Gloom from Aquapolis (2003) sleeping peacefully on a branch, illustrated by Kyoko Umemoto.
Twenty years later, Umemoto returned for Crown Zenith (2023) to show the exact moment it finally fell!
As a joke, imagine taking a 20-year nap, only to finally wake up by crashing straight to the ground! LOL
Did you know about this?
WELCOME to Day 25 of posting a SPOOKY card from my collection every day this month!

Hitmonlee is named after Bruce Lee. 🥷
In Japanese, Hitmonlee is called "Sawamular", which honors kickboxer Tadashi Sawamura! one of Japan's most famous kickboxers 🦵🥊
The more you know!
