Thank you everyone that came to parliament today. Labour voted down our amendments to protect our female athletes right to fair & safe sport away from males in international competition on Uk soil. But we won’t give up!

London is hosting “The Thinking Muslim Conference” this weekend. One speaker said he would be willing to carry out a suicide bombing. Another was described as a member of Al-Qaeda, and met the Taliban. I have written to the Home Secretary about the obvious security concerns.

Today’s interest rate hike could cost families on tracker mortgages £400 a year. But why are rates going up? Because Labour’s Jobs Tax and sky-high energy costs are fuelling inflation. 👇

Why can’t the Environment Secretary explain what she’s announcing? What powers will these water councils have? How much will these councils cost the taxpayer or bill payer? Key questions we need answers to.

With reports of Labour’s handover to the EU of our food laws today, I’m reminded of the wise words of a Lincolnshire farmer: “If you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu.” Here are some of the concerns and realities of what Labour’s EU handover actually means for British food, farming and drink 👇
Too many people are unaware of the serious repercussions Labour’s EU negotiations will have on our UK food, farming and drink sectors. Labour is conducting these Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) negotiations in secret, without a clear mandate or firm red lines. Even more concerning, they have barely consulted the businesses most affected. Instead, they seem intent on going full steam ahead, handing over control of our regulations and leaving British consumers and businesses dangerously exposed. That’s why the @Conservatives are raising the alarm. We want to promote and protect our farmers, food producers and scientists. It is not about the past or re-litigating the referendum. It is about our future: the cost of food in our baskets and our ability to feed ourselves in an increasingly volatile world. It is about fairness and avoiding unfair competition with heavily-subsidised EU farmers – especially since Labour have cut the farming budget and stripped support from our own farmers. We must recognise our national strengths in agriculture and veterinary standards from Precision Breeding to world-leading animal welfare standards. Listen to some of the concerns the sector have shared with me and my analysis on Labour’s claims here 👇

Why is Andy Burnham so concerned about other countries’ debt when our own is over £100,000 for every household? Not a single penny of British taxpayers’ money should be spent on reparations.

We are spending far too much on benefits for people who can work but choose not to. That money should be going towards defending our country.

Shabana has made a serious mistake surrendering to Labour MPs. So I’m putting people on notice - when we get into government we will scrap this weak policy. Immigration is too high. Labour are making a bad situation much, much worse. The Conservative Party is under new management. I accept this problem started under a previous Conservative govt. Many of those in that Cabinet have gone to Reform where they belong. And I’ve got a proper plan to fix it👇

You can slave away every hour God sends to start or grow your own business. This Labour Cabinet Minister still won't consider you a "working person". This sums up their entire approach to the world. Moronic and insulting.

Another foot in mouth moment. Chancellor told @bbclaurak Milburn & Timms reports will be published this week. Govt officials now frantically backpedaling…reports NOT expected this week. Second time in 4 days that officials are having to correct John Healey. Might not seem a big slip but begs the question, does he know what’s going on? Does he have any grip at all?

I’ve been Self employed or run a small limited company all my life, at one time employing 2 people full time & 2 part time. The longest I took off when I had my 3 children was a week. Becuase if I didn’t work I didn’t earn. Labour have absolutely no idea what private sector work is! It’s so insulting
What an extraordinary statement. Apparently, according to Labour, employers aren't working people. Tell that to the small business owners working 60-hour weeks, risking their savings, paying their staff and keeping their businesses afloat. Labour can play with definitions and indulge in endless whataboutery, but it cannot escape the consequences of its decisions. Taxing employers affects jobs, wages and the very people Labour claims to protect.

Labour’s Treasury Minister admitted she doesn’t think employers are working people. No wonder. The entire Cabinet has less private-sector experience combined than our Shadow Chancellor. They’re no longer the Labour Party. They’re the Welfare Party.

Nigel Farage’s story about why he didn’t attend the Budget is unravelling. Again. It turns out that he never put in a card to reserve his seat in the first place. All cards are dated and you have to be there for Prayers at the start of business to keep your seat. It’s called a “Prayer Card”. First come first served and people queue up from before 8am on Budget Day to be allowed in the Chamber of the House of Commons. He, but more likely a colleague, put in a card for him. (Not allowed.) And more than that, it wasn’t the current day’s date. So the Doorkeepers who mind the Chamber and check the cards removed it. It wasn’t valid. So his story that another MP removed it and he didn’t want to get into an argument is wrong. He just couldn’t be arsed to put it in for himself.

Britain’s national debt is equivalent to more than £100,000 for every household. Madness. We are borrowing just to pay the interest on our debt. Only we Conservatives have a plan to get a grip on our country’s finances.

I’ve uncovered more than £1 million of your money going from the Ministry of Justice straight to pro-immigration charities. Charities that campaign against border controls and help illegal immigrants stay in Britain. This must stop. The Ministry of Justice exists to serve the British people, not to act as a cash machine for left-wing lawyers.
