Happy to share our latest research on octopuses! 🐙 Our new chromosome-scale Octopus vulgaris genome just came out @biorxivpreprint ! 🧵 below 1/8

Our new paper on the Identification of stable reference genes (RGs) in adult Octopus vulgaris 🐙 🧬
is now out in Frontiers in Molecular Neuroscience @FrontNeurosci (frontiersin.org/articles/10.…) #octopus #invertebrates #molluscs 1/5
Using several algorithms and methods we identified RGs specific to different sets of tissues and those transcriptionally stable across all considered tissues. Interestingly, none of them has ever been used as references in cephalopods before. 4/5
Thanks to everyone who was involved in the study! @PonteGiov @gfocto @cagnin_stefano @FraRaff_Delfina, Vittoria Allegretti, Caterina Millino. 5/5
