Who else wants to see a Rocket League movie with the top streamers in it!?

I'm still pretty trash at the game but not bad for a 36-year-old. If you want to see my highlight reel from 2023 🤣 youtube.com/watch?v=M2rXzxHg…

Making a Rocket League movie with @zenrll and @SquishyMuffinz would be insane. I love Squishy, but every film needs a villain and I thought it would be funny to make Rocket League’s most wholesome streamer the bad guy.

I’m a huge @RocketLeague nerd. *Disclaimer that this is parody* I’ve been playing for 10+ years, I am Grand Champ and back when I made YouTube videos with my dad, @voiceoverpete, we used to make videos with @amustycow , @Jonsandman , @NeatMike and @SunlessKhan.

Professional sports just changed forever. Now that Tesla Roadsters can fly, I think it’s time to turn Rocket League into reality. I made this in two hours with fal's new post-trained model FLUX 3 Max that just launched! It's FAST!
Introducing FLUX 3 Max, the latest post-trained video model from fal Research in partnership with @bfl_ai. FLUX 3 Max is tied for #1 in image-to-video quality on independent third-party benchmarks, generating a 10-second, 720/768p video in ~12 seconds. For the next three weeks, FLUX 3 Max is 75% off, making it the most affordable frontier video model at its quality level.

Click on this thread and you'll see the full prompts and process for how I made this. This is actually a scene from the 2nd book but ironically it spoils way less than a trailer for the movie. Enjoy and pick up the damn book! xitter.cf/PJaccetturo/status/202…

Script: This is a 20min sequence in the audiobook that I had to condense down to 3min. I worked with an LLM to strip out just the dialogue and then I further condensed that into the most essential lines.

At the start of this process, I gave Luma's agent: The 15-page book passage My script/shotlist My 2x2 prompt structure I had it generation 30 options for each character's look and then began integrating them into the scenes. My chat with the agent was: "Use this description of the scene and character references to generate 30 2x2 grids of them in the scene."

I then added a bunch of these images to different 15 second prompts in CapCut and later edited them into a montage. Here's the prompt template you can use: 15-second clip, 4:3 aspect ratio. The images are reference only, you can make it feel natural and change camera angles as you wish! Also no "whoosh" or "zoom" sound effects. Five scenes of about 3 seconds each, joined by hard cuts. Each scene has two shots of about 1.5 seconds from two clearly different camera angles. Each tagged image is the start frame for its shot. The scenes are very documentarian and natural feeling and you can deviate from the script if it feels too scripted. I'm just giving you this info to be playful with this as the essenece of the scenes. Five scenes of about 3 seconds each, joined by hard cuts. Each scene has two shots of about 1.5 seconds from two clearly different camera angles. Each tagged image is the start frame for its shot; match its location, characters, wardrobe and lighting exactly. SCENE 1 (0-3s), @ image7: Palm-lined tourist boulevard, a silver-painted living statue performer standing frozen between two knights, tourists taking photos. SHOT 1: Handheld from behind the tourists as cameras snap away at the three frozen figures, nobody moving. SHOT 2: Hard cut. Punch-in on the statue performer. He slowly turns his head to stare at the knight beside him. The knight doesn't move a muscle. SCENE 2 (3-6s), @ image8: Downtown office building, one knight stuck inside a glass revolving door, his cloak caught in the door, two knights outside pulling on it. SHOT 1: Handheld from the sidewalk as the two knights yank on the trapped cloak like a tug of war. SHOT 2: Hard cut. Wider angle. The door suddenly spins, the cloak snaps tight, and both knights get dragged in and spun around inside. SCENE 3 (6-9s), @ image9: Busy street fair, a balloon artist handing a knight a long red balloon sword, two knights grinning behind. SHOT 1: Handheld close as the knight carefully accepts the red balloon sword with both gauntlets, like a sacred blade. SHOT 2: Hard cut. Wide. He swings it in a big dramatic arc and it bonks harmlessly off another knight's head. The other knight doesn't react. SCENE 4 (9-12s), @ image10 then @ image12: The snack run. SHOT 1 (@ image10): Sunny juice bar counter. Handheld as the knight tips a cup of green juice straight into his visor slit, green juice pouring down his helm and cloak. He keeps drinking. SHOT 2 (@ image12): Hard cut. Downtown hot dog cart. Punch-in on a knight with mustard smeared down his visor. He shoves the hot dog into the eye slit, more mustard squirting out, then gives the camera a slow thumbs up. SCENE 5 (12-15s), @ image11: Old-school barber shop, the barber shaving cream off a knight's steel helm with a straight razor, two knights waiting, one reading a newspaper. SHOT 1: Handheld over the barber's shoulder as he carefully scrapes a clean stripe through the shaving cream on the helm. SHOT 2: Hard cut. From the waiting bench. The barber wipes the helm clean, it gleams, and the waiting knight slowly lowers his newspaper and nods in approval. STYLE: Shot on a modern smartphone by one of the boys on the trip, like a chaotic boys-trip documentary edited like a 90s skate video: raw, organic and fast. Handheld and never still, quick punch-in zooms, slightly off-level framing, the operator walking and reacting with the action, occasional focus hunting, natural daylight and film grain. Every knight wears a mail coif, a long white cloak with a red cross and a sword at the hip, most with a closed great helm; they are big, heavy and move with real weight, metal glinting. The comedy is purely visual and played completely deadpan: the knights act like normal tourists on vacation. No dialogue, no voiceover. No visible logos or brand names. SOUNDS: natural ambient sound of each location, armor clanking, footsteps, etc . No background music. No captions or text overlays.
