The Same, Lying, Backstabbing, One term Starmer Government. Just with a different Mask & a Client Media, to buy more time, sell us all off to Palantir, & Remove every last right we have left to oppose the inevitable Dystopian, Fascist Takeover they're laying foundations for.
🚨 NEW: Ofcom says all adults should have to use their ID to access social media. • Ofcom has recommended four methods for verifying users’ ages ahead of the UK’s ban on social media for under-16s, which is due to come into force in March next year. • The four methods suggested, subject to government approval, are photo ID matching, banking-based checks, live facial age estimation and digital ID. • The regulator noted that verifying the ages of 16 and 17-year-olds is challenging because many do not have credit cards, full driving licences or passports. • Ofcom chief executive Dame Melanie Dawes said the ban can work if firms carry out highly effective age checks, and that the regulator will take action against companies that fail to comply.

having employees who’ve worked for you for ‘years’ and still paying them minimum wage is embarrassing enough, but going on tv to whinge about having to pay them more is genuinely shameless. espesh when you’ve made enough profit from ur stupid pie shop to buy SIX rental properties
‘John Healey, if you’re listening, where’s my breathing space?’ Business owner Paul Bowen has criticised the Chancellor’s promise to give ‘breathing space’ through measures in his Budget. #budget #businesses #costofliving

Let's get a a "business" gobshite to run the country. What could possibly go wrong.
'If I was running Britain like a business, a lot of people would have been fired.' Is the Chancellor getting too much blame for a bad economy? 'No', says businesswoman Emma Sinclair, 'the wrong man's in the job'.

Police ambiguity and "discretion" is one of the major ways they expand their power. If it's unclear then cops can justify more shit and while protesters (in this case) can never be sure where they stand. Watch for ambiguity, know your rights
I asked the Met to clarify if this indeed does mean they will arrest anyone passing their granny an Evian and a spokesperson said they were “not going to define the terms we’ve used in our press release beyond their plain English meanings”. The ambiguity is deliberate, I’d guess

Every single time we have this discussion, liberals say shit like this. I don’t know how many times we have to explain that we fully understand that many small businesses will fail if they are forced to pay liveable wages and we simply don’t care.
The UK needs to make Economics/Business a compulsory GCSE bro

Just about everything wrong with this country comes back to religious-types pretending that depictions of nudity and sexuality are more damaging to children than any amount of violence.

Part of all this data center stuff is so consumers no longer own their own computers. They want us to rent computer access so we own nothing & are forced to hand over all of our data. They’ll sell/give/lease us portals (screens) that connect to their subscription servers. Evil.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says it’s “quite terrible” that people have so much DRAM sitting in their own PCs instead of being used in data centers. “Everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer. And be used 5% of the time,” He argues that cloud data centers should make better use of limited memory supplies instead of people running AI models locally.

despite all its issues, Wikipedia is one of the single greatest inventions in human history. there have been countless Libraries of Alexandria but this is likely the most comprehensive collection of human knowledge to ever exist and it’s available on a handheld in 350 languages
im four beers deep and i need everyone to understand that wikipedia is the last good thing. millions of strangers agreed to write down everything for free and then argue about citations forever. no ads. no paywall. this should not exist and it does and i'm crying about it

He’s allowed to believe what he wants just like I’m allowed to believe he’s a self centred prick contributing nothing of real value.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM for their own PCs is a waste and instead should be saved for data centers "It’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

The man doesn't seem to realise that there is not enough work. Most of the vacancies you see are either fake, beyond your experience, or have too many people applying. You cannot "hardship" young people into jobs that don't exist and they still need to survive in the mean time

I have a burning hatred with our media, treating this guy as a salt of the earth small business owner, when instead his dad started up the business and now Paul has a turnover of 18m with 6 properties.
"Andy Burnham, come and have a chat with me. Come and work in my business, I'll show you what we need." Small business owner Paul Bowen asks Prime Minister Andy Burnham for more support following this week’s Budget measures. #Newsnight

Ramsay isn't even bothering blowing the dog whistle here - his melt coalition are making a nakedly racist attack on non-white communities engaging with the Greens, and anyone who correctly understands social justice is inseparable from fighting climate change.
EXCL: Senior Greens will warn that the party has been taken over by pro-Palestinian activists who have replaced its environmental values with anti-Israeli politics Adrian Ramsay, the former leader and MP for Waveney Valley, is expected to give an interview to the BBC on Sunday criticising what has happened to the party under the leadership of Zack Polanski He leads a group of Green figures including former members of the European parliament as they call for a “conversation about the party’s direction”, after a series of scandals and internal party rifts about antisemitism New figures show some 18,000 members have left the party since its peak in May this year, falling to about 212,000 after the conference from a height of 230,000 The Times understands some party figures have estimated that up to eight council coalitions could collapse, after Labour said it would pull out of power-sharing agreements if local groups did not denounce a motion to declare Zionism to be racist. The exact number is still unclear Full read in @thetimes thetimes.com/article/fe67f93…

Hollywood studios famously made that very promise between the years 1934-1968. old news buddy
We just made a promise no Hollywood studio has ever made. No sex or nudity on screen, no F-word, and no misuse of God's name in Angel originals. And 3 million Guild members get a veto on everything before it ever lands on Angel. Parents shouldn't have to sift through a dozen movies to find one they can watch. That's why we made the Angel Promise. foxnews.com/media/angel-stud…
