Yesterday I had the pleasure to join the @LERUnews dinner debate on Green AI. Before the main course there was an excellent Keynote by Mieke De Ketelaere. Then there were two panels: one after the main course and one after the desert. (1/5)
After the panels @mleptin (President of the ERC) gave her reflections on AI, but in particular on European research policy, at the crucial time of discussing redefining the policy framework. The evening ended by closing words by @SariLindblom (Rector of the @helsinkiuni ). (4/5)
It was an inspiring evening, giving a lot of food for thoughts on the crucial topic of how to merge AI and sustainability. (I guess you all know that asking Chat GPT a question uses 50 more energy than asking Google the same question.) Thank you @LERUnews for a great event. (5/5)
