xitter.cf/RepLauraGillen/status/… The Only Democrat Who Stood for DJ Daniel…. Meet Rep. Laura Gillen It shouldn’t take courage to applaud a 13-year-old cancer fighter. But unfortunately in today’s politics, it does. Rep. Laura Gillen was the sole Democrat who stood and clapped as DJ Daniel was honored at the State of the Union. She chose to be human, not just a partisan. Too often, we focus on the wrong things people do. Let’s give Gillen her due; because even if you disagree with her politically, you now know she’s coming from a place of genuine care. 3 things to know about Rep. Laura Gillen: 🔹 Former journalist & attorney; fought for transparency. 🔹 First woman elected Hempstead Town Supervisor in 100+ years. 🔹 Strong advocate for veterans & first responders. I just followed @RepLauraGillen will you? Can she influence her colleagues?
