Self care isn’t selfish: It’s consistency & discipline.
Take care of YOUR body & mind. YOU only get one.
Check on your teammates, friends, family & neighbors.
Be a gamechanger on AND off the field.

Excited to see all the stars - on AND off the field - this school year!
The special @BODYARMORseries student athlete/grandparent lifesize poster shoot was news in Chicago.
But then something pretty cool happened.
The story traveled the U.S., reaching audiences across 14 states - including major cities like Dallas, Miami, New York and more - because of something incredibly simple and increasingly rare: A story about young people stopping to celebrate the generations who came before them.
Sometimes making a difference doesn’t require doing something huge. Sometimes it starts with simply bringing generations together.
August marks the 129th consecutive month of the National Making A Difference On AND Off The Field campaign.

The BODYARMOR Series has grown into a massive, year-round high school sports platform.
More sports. More schools. More student athletes. More opportunities.
But soccer - the world’s game - will always be what started it all.
The latest kickoff is set for Sept. 12, 2026!

Anyone can schedule or cover a game.
What most don’t realize is that the game is simply the engine for something much bigger.
For more than a decade, that has been the idea behind what we’ve built.
Bring student athletes together through competition — then use that connection to create opportunities that can impact them, their families, schools and communities for years - even decades - after the final whistle.
Since December 2015, this specific mission has been consistent:
Create GOOD. Do GOOD. Show GOOD.
And now we have the data to show what that actually looks like thanks to a national-leading school data and insights firm.
Over just a four-year stretch:
54,900+ student-athletes.
185 community events.
900+ earned TV and radio features.
Billions of positive social media impressions.
But those numbers only tell part of the story.
Student athletes have played against schools and kids they otherwise may never have met, because school schedules tend to be like annual hamster wheels.
They've traveled into different communities. Played in front of college coaches. Experienced major media opportunities. Celebrated together on Championship Sunday.
And then they've stepped off the field together.
They've surprised children. Helped families. Supported charities. Honored veterans and first responders. Visited people who needed someone to show up. Written notes of gratitude. Used their platforms to shine a light on other people instead of themselves.
Month after month, year after year: Competitors on the field. Teammates in the Game of Life.
The cost for the child and their family: $0.
That's where this becomes different.
Research on adolescent prosocial behavior shows that young people — particularly girls — demonstrate meaningful tendencies toward helping and giving back.
Research around athletic identity also reminds us why athletes need purpose and identity that extend beyond their sport.
Because eventually the games, seasons and careers end - most after high school.
But guess what? Character doesn't. Leadership doesn't. Empathy doesn't. The experience of helping and working with another person doesn't.
And while adults increasingly seem determined to find reasons to fight with one another, young people continue showing us something better: Put them together, give them a purpose and they can work across schools, neighborhoods and backgrounds to make somebody else's day better.
Sometimes I think some adults look at high school sports and see the tree — the game, the schedule, the opponent, the score.
But it’s so much more.
Experiences - lifelong memories - that young people will remember 20 or 30 years from now to impact positive future behavior.
This isn't a one-day community-service photo opportunity.
The games are important, but the games are just the engine.
The destination is developing young people who understand they have the ability — and responsibility — to make a difference.
August 2026 marks the 129th consecutive month of the national effort to use the #PowerOfSport to make a difference on AND off the field.
It’s that simple.
“Handsome” is what one Oak Forest boys soccer player had to say.
