For four years, the work has remained constant: ensuring that ordinary Nigerians are not left without a voice when their rights are violated. Through legal aid, litigation and advocacy, we continue to support people seeking redress and ensure that violations of their rights do not go unchallenged. Because access to justice must be more than a promise. It must be within everyone’s reach. #accesstojusticeparley2026 #ppdc #accesstojustice #legalaid #humanrights #justiceforall

Sometimes, the first barrier to justice is not knowing that you have rights. At the Access to Justice Parley 2026, Mrs. Saratu Alanza Panay shared her personal experience of enduring seven years of injustice before finally getting justice. That experience inspired her to establish an organisation dedicated to helping others access the information, support and opportunities they need to stand up for their rights. Her message is a reminder that access to information is essential to empowerment, and that no one should have to navigate injustice alone. #accesstojusticeparley2026 #ppdc #womensrights #legalempowerment #accesstojustice

Technology can make justice more accessible, but only when the systems supporting it are in place. At the Access to Justice Parley 2026, Benjamin Awomoku, representative of the Nigerian Correctional Service, highlighted how virtual courts can reduce the logistical challenges of transporting detainees to court. He also emphasised the need for adequate infrastructure, digitally skilled personnel and strong cybersecurity safeguards to make virtual proceedings secure, accessible and effective. Innovation must not only make justice faster; it must make justice work better. #accesstojusticeparley2026 #ppdc #virtualcourts #digitaljustice #nigeriancorrectionalservice #accesstojustice #technologyandjustice

Justice should never be a privilege reserved for those who can afford it. At the Access to Justice Parley 2026, Miss Ene Obi drew attention to how poverty and vulnerability create barriers to legal representation, particularly for women, children and survivors of sexual violence. Access to justice must not depend on economic or social status. Everyone deserves the support, representation and protection they need to seek justice. #accesstojusticeparley2026 #ppdc #accesstojustice #legalaid #equaljustice #humanrights #womensrights

Safeguarding policies mean little if the people they are meant to protect cannot safely report abuse or seek accountability. At the Access to Justice Parley 2026,@AtikuNafisa highlighted the different forms of violence young women face in the workplace and the urgent need for effective safeguarding measures, safe reporting channels and accountability across both public and private sectors. Training justice-sector personnel is important, but what happens when they return to systems that make it difficult to apply what they have learned? As Esosa Osula highlighted, we must look beyond training and confront the barriers that prevent knowledge from translating into meaningful action. #accesstojusticeparley2026 #ppdc #accesstojustice #justicesector #capacitybuilding

Legal aid can make the difference between someone having access to justice and being left without support. At the Access to Justice Parley, Ms. Racheal Adejo highlighted two urgent gaps: too few legal aid personnel and the secondary victimisation that can keep survivors of sexual and gender-based violence from seeking justice. #AccessToJusticeParley #LegalAid #EndSGBV #JusticeForSurvivors #PPDC
