PRISM TODAY — AROUND THE SPORTS WORLD SATURDAY WAS LOADED. COLLEGE FOOTBALL: OREGON 41 — OHIO STATE 28 OREGON WENT INTO COLUMBUS AND SHOCKED THE BUCKEYES. Down 14 early, Oregon responded with 38 STRAIGHT POINTS. Dylan Raiola threw for 257 yards. Jeremiah Smith had 133 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough. NOTRE DAME 31 — MIAMI 24 THE #1 TEAM WENT DOWN. CJ Carr: • 319 passing yards • 3 TD Micah Gilbert: • 9 catches • 98 yards • 2 TD Notre Dame made the plays when it mattered. GEORGIA 42 — OLE MISS 7 GEORGIA SENT A MESSAGE. Gunner Stockton threw FOUR touchdowns, and Georgia’s defense held Ole Miss to just seven points. UTAH 28 — BYU 20 THE UTES ARE STILL UNBEATEN. Devon Dampier accounted for four touchdowns, and Utah’s defense came away with FOUR interceptions. OTHER BIG RESULTS: Texas 34 — Missouri 20 Alabama 31 — LSU 13 Tennessee 34 — Kentucky 6 Texas Tech 53 — West Virginia 48 Houston 31 — Cincinnati 24 NBA: NUGGETS 114 — PACERS 102 Nikola Jokic: • 19 points • 13 rebounds • 8 assists HAWKS 124 — NETS 121 Atlanta survived a close one. KNICKS 109 — CAVALIERS 97 New York walked out of Cleveland with a win. THUNDER 114 — WIZARDS 75 OKC handled business. WARRIORS 126 — MAGIC 119 Golden State got the win in a competitive game. SUNS 102 — ROCKETS 99 Phoenix escaped with a three-point victory. SPURS 125 — TRAIL BLAZERS 103 San Antonio took care of Portland. PRISM TAKE: Oregon and Notre Dame just changed the college football conversation. Georgia looks like a PROBLEM. And the NBA season is starting to give us some early storylines. NOW LET’S TALK: WHO HAD THE BIGGEST WIN OF THE DAY? OREGON, NOTRE DAME, OR GEORGIA? And who’s looking like the team to beat in the NBA right now? #PRISMTODAY #CollegeFootball #CFB #NBA

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL WAS A SHOW. BILLS 41 — LIONS 31 JOSH ALLEN WAS RIDICULOUS. Allen finished with: • 248 passing yards • 3 passing TD • 69 rushing yards • 2 rushing TD • 5 TOTAL TOUCHDOWNS Buffalo jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never gave Detroit control of the game. And James Cook was RUNNING. • 21 carries • 135 rushing yards • 1 TD Dalton Kincaid added: • 7 catches • 95 yards • 1 TD But give Detroit credit. They kept fighting. Jared Goff: • 327 passing yards • 4 TD • 0 INT Amon-Ra St. Brown: • 9 catches • 142 yards • 2 TD Jahmyr Gibbs: • 52 rushing yards • 61 receiving yards • 1 receiving TD The problem? Detroit couldn’t stop Buffalo. The Bills scored touchdowns on FIVE of their first SIX possessions and finished with 446 total yards. BUFFALO IS NOW 2-0. And after watching Josh Allen through these first two games… PRISM QUESTION: IS JOSH ALLEN ALREADY THE MVP FRONTRUNNER? And should we be WORRIED about Detroit’s defense? #PRISMTODAY #NFL #Bills #Lions #TNF

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL. BRONCOS vs CHIEFS 8:15 PM ET Arrowhead Stadium Week 1 closes with an AFC WEST BATTLE. And PRISM is taking DENVER tonight. WHAT TO WATCH: BO NIX IS BACK. After his injury ended Denver’s playoff run last season, Nix returns tonight with another weapon in Jaylen Waddle. Nix. Waddle. Courtland Sutton. That Denver offense could be dangerous. PATRICK MAHOMES RETURNS. This might be the BIGGEST storyline tonight. Mahomes is playing his first game since tearing his ACL last season. And his first game back comes against a Denver defense that has led the NFL in sacks TWO YEARS IN A ROW. Can Mahomes look like Mahomes immediately? DENVER’S DEFENSE. This is where I think the Broncos can win the game. Kansas City will be WITHOUT starting LT Josh Simmons. Now you have to protect Mahomes against that Denver pass rush. That matchup could decide EVERYTHING. CHIEFS HAVE SOMETHING TO PROVE. Kansas City went 6-11 last season. Denver went 14-3 and SWEPT Kansas City. For the first time in a long time, the Chiefs are the team trying to take the AFC West BACK. PRISM PREDICTION: I’M TAKING THE BRONCOS IN A TIGHT ONE. Arrowhead. Mahomes returning. Division rivalry. I don’t expect this to be easy AT ALL. But I think Denver’s defense makes one big play late and Bo Nix does enough to get them out of Kansas City with a win. BRONCOS 23 CHIEFS 20 WHO YOU GOT TONIGHT? BRONCOS OR CHIEFS? #PRISMTODAY #NFL #Broncos #Chiefs #MNF

COLLEGE FOOTBALL SATURDAY WAS CRAZY. But FIRST… I TOLD Y’ALL TEXAS WAS BEATING OHIO STATE. I said it was going to be a GAUNTLET… TEXAS 24 — OHIO STATE 23. And I’m not gonna lie… When Ohio State was up 23-3 entering the fourth quarter, I thought my prediction was DONE. Texas then scored 21 STRAIGHT POINTS and completed the comeback. PRISM CALLED IT. AROUND THE COUNTRY: Oklahoma State SHOCKED #6 Oregon, 39-31. Michigan bounced back from all that Western Michigan controversy and beat #11 Oklahoma, 17-10. Alabama handled Kentucky, 45-17. Tennessee beat Georgia Tech, 45-24. Iowa survived Iowa State, 16-13. Utah DOMINATED Arkansas, 43-10. But the story of Saturday? TEXAS. Down 20. Against the #1 team in America. Fourth quarter. And they found a way. Now I have ONE question: IS TEXAS THE #1 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY? #PRISMTODAY #CollegeFootball #CFB #Texas #OhioState

COLLEGE FOOTBALL SATURDAY IS HERE. I’ve been waiting ALL WEEK for this. PRISM TODAY is focusing on COLLEGE FOOTBALL ALL DAY TODAY. From the noon games all the way through the late-night window, we’re watching EVERYTHING. And we’ve got some serious matchups. NOON: #11 OKLAHOMA @ MICHIGAN This might be the most interesting early game. Michigan barely escaped Western Michigan after that controversial ending. Now they immediately have to deal with a ranked Oklahoma team. Was last week just a bad game for Michigan… OR are there real problems in Ann Arbor? #6 OREGON @ OKLAHOMA STATE Oregon survived Boise State 34-27 last week. Now the Ducks go on the road to Stillwater. I expect Oregon to win, but after last week I want to see them DOMINATE. ARIZONA STATE @ #10 TEXAS A&M Both teams destroyed their Week 1 opponents. Now we actually get to find out something about them. 3:30 PM: #12 ALABAMA @ KENTUCKY First SEC road test of the season for Alabama. Kentucky at home could make this uncomfortable. This is one I’m keeping an eye on. ARIZONA @ #15 BYU Don’t sleep on this matchup. Early-season Big 12 game that could matter MUCH more later in the year. 7 PM: #18 TENNESSEE @ GEORGIA TECH This could be SNEAKY GOOD. Tennessee has the ranking. Georgia Tech has the home field. Upset watch? 7:30 PM: #1 OHIO STATE @ #4 TEXAS THIS IS THE ONE. Julian Sayin. Arch Manning. Big Ten vs SEC. #1 vs #4. Two national championship contenders. NFL talent EVERYWHERE. And Texas has lost the last TWO meetings against Ohio State. PRISM PREDICTION: I’M TAKING TEXAS. But I think this is going to be a GAUNTLET. Physical. Close. Possibly decided in the fourth quarter. I’m expecting both defenses to make life difficult for the quarterbacks, but I think Arch Manning and Texas make enough plays late at HOME. TEXAS 27 OHIO STATE 24 LONGHORNS PULL THE UPSET. ALSO AT 7:30: IOWA STATE @ #21 IOWA It’s rivalry time. Forget rankings and records when these two play. Anything can happen. #13 TEXAS TECH @ OREGON STATE Another ranked team going ON THE ROAD. Definitely one to monitor. LATE NIGHT: ARKANSAS @ #20 UTAH — 10:15 PM If you’re still awake… WE’RE WATCHING. PRISM WATCHLIST: Ohio State vs Texas — GAME OF THE DAY Oklahoma vs Michigan — Michigan under PRESSURE Tennessee vs Georgia Tech — UPSET WATCH Alabama vs Kentucky — SEC ROAD TEST Iowa State vs Iowa — RIVALRY GAME Oregon — Can they look like a TOP-6 team? I’M LOCKED INTO COLLEGE FOOTBALL ALL DAY. PRISM TODAY will be talking CFB from the first kickoff until the last whistle tonight. And I’m putting it on record now: TEXAS BEATS OHIO STATE. WHO YOU GOT? #PRISMTODAY #CollegeFootball #CFB #Texas #OhioState

AROUND THE SPORTS WORLD YESTERDAY First things first… PRISM GOT THE RAMS PREDICTION WRONG. I had the Rams winning a close game. Instead… 49ERS 27 — RAMS 7 San Francisco DOMINATED. Brock Purdy: • 25/34 • 205 passing yards • 3 TD • 1 INT Christian McCaffrey added 68 rushing yards as San Francisco ran for 174 yards as a team. Meanwhile, Matthew Stafford and that Rams offense NEVER got going. • Stafford: 155 passing yards • Rams: 2/9 on third down • Only 7 points • Myles Garrett: ZERO tackles, sacks or QB hits The Rams even got stuffed at the ONE-YARD LINE on fourth down. And remember what we talked about before the game… San Francisco arrived in Australia about a WEEK early. The Rams arrived roughly 28 HOURS before kickoff. Did that travel decision matter? Either way… I WAS WRONG ON THIS ONE. The 49ers looked like the better team from start to finish. MLB PLAYOFF RACES ARE HEATING UP Some notable results: • Braves 3 — Rays 1 • Astros 2 — Phillies 1 • Mariners 4 — Rangers 3 Julio Rodríguez delivered the go-ahead homer and drove in all THREE Seattle runs. Every September game matters now. US OPEN The women’s semifinals took center stage with Coco Gauff, Elena Rybakina, Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula battling for spots in the final. And on the men’s side, we’re getting the matchup American tennis has been waiting for: BEN SHELTON vs FRANCES TIAFOE. An American man is going to the US OPEN FINAL. PRISM STORY OF THE DAY: The 49ers didn’t just beat the Rams… THEY MADE A STATEMENT. So I have to ask: Did PRISM simply underestimate San Francisco… OR did we OVERRATE the Rams coming into this season? #PRISMTODAY #NFL #49ers #Rams #MLB #USOpen

49ERS vs RAMS — TONIGHT 8:35 PM ET Melbourne, Australia The NFL’s first regular-season game in Australia gives us an NFC WEST BATTLE. And PRISM is taking the RAMS tonight. WHAT TO WATCH: MATTHEW STAFFORD The reigning MVP is back with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams after leading the NFL’s top-scoring offense last season. BROCK PURDY San Francisco gets another shot at the Rams with Purdy, Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle leading the offense. But can that offensive line handle the Rams pass rush? AARON DONALD IS OUT. Donald is officially NOT playing tonight after recently coming out of retirement. The Rams aren’t rushing him back. MYLES GARRETT IS EXPECTED TO PLAY. There had been some concern after Garrett missed practice with a knee issue, but he returned as a full participant and carries NO injury designation. So unless something changes before kickoff, we should see Garrett make his Rams debut tonight. That matchup against Brock Purdy could be HUGE. TRAVEL COULD MATTER. San Francisco arrived in Australia almost a WEEK before the game. The Rams arrived roughly a DAY before kickoff. Two completely different strategies for dealing with the massive time-zone change. PRISM PREDICTION: RAMS WIN. But I think San Francisco keeps it competitive. No Aaron Donald makes the Rams defense less terrifying, but if Garrett is healthy and Stafford gets rolling with Puka and Davante, I think Los Angeles has too much. RAMS 27 49ERS 23 WHO YOU GOT TONIGHT? RAMS OR 49ERS? #PRISMTODAY #NFL #Rams #49ers

AROUND THE SPORTS WORLD — NO NFL While everybody was watching the NFL opener, plenty happened everywhere else. US OPEN: COCO GAUFF SURVIVES! Gauff looked DONE against Mirra Andreeva. • Lost the first set 6-2 • Faced TWO match points • Battled back to win 2-6, 7-6, 6-2 • Advances to the US Open semifinals Now she gets Elena Rybakina. And Rybakina made history herself — she came back to beat Zheng Qinwen and secured the WORLD No. 1 ranking. Could we get another Coco Gauff Grand Slam title? MLB GOT CRAZY. METS 15 — MARLINS 14 Yes…29 RUNS. Elsewhere: • Orioles 9 — Guardians 5 • Phillies 11 — Astros 7 • Giants 7 — Cardinals 6 • Padres 9 — Nationals 2 • Mariners 3 — Rangers 2 • Tigers 7 — Twins 2 And the Giants win might’ve been the wildest. San Francisco entered the 8th inning down FIVE runs… Then scored SIX runs with TWO OUTS to win 7-6. September baseball is DIFFERENT. WNBA PLAYOFFS ARE SET. The league announced its postseason schedule, and the eight playoff teams are locked in: Minnesota Golden State Las Vegas Atlanta Indiana New York Washington Dallas The playoffs begin September 27. MLS: PHILLY DOMINATES. Philadelphia Union absolutely destroyed FC Cincinnati: 5-0. That’s not a win… THAT’S A STATEMENT. PRISM STORIES OF THE DAY: Coco Gauff saves TWO match points Mets-Marlins combine for 29 runs Giants erase a five-run deficit WNBA playoff field is locked Philadelphia wins 5-0 PRISM QUESTION: What was the BIGGEST story outside the NFL yesterday? #PRISMTODAY #MLB #USOpen #WNBA #MLS

🚨 WHAT HAPPENED TO DRAKE MAYE?! 😳🏈 SEAHAWKS 13 — PATRIOTS 10 New England looked like they had this game CONTROLLED. They led 10-0 late in the 3rd quarter. Seattle lost starting QB Sam Darnold to a hip injury. And somehow… THE PATRIOTS STILL LOST. 🤦‍♂️ The biggest reason? DRAKE MAYE’S 4TH QUARTER. Maye finished: • 23/33 • 178 passing YDS • 1 TD • 3 INTs 😳 • 47 rushing YDS And ALL THREE interceptions came in the 4th quarter. Even worse… New England’s FINAL THREE POSSESSIONS all ended with Maye interceptions. The last one HURT. 😬 Down 13-10, New England drove all the way into Seattle territory with a chance to at least tie the game. Instead… Maye throws an interception IN THE END ZONE with 26 seconds remaining. GAME OVER. And remember… This is a quarterback who threw just 8 interceptions ALL LAST SEASON. Last night he threw THREE in ONE QUARTER. 🤯 Meanwhile Seattle’s backup QB Drew Lock stepped in and helped erase the 10-point deficit. Jaxon Smith-Njigba went OFF: 🔥 8 catches 🔥 122 yards 🔥 45-yard TD And Seattle’s defense completely FLIPPED the game. Maye admitted afterward that he “lost patience” and said his decisions cost New England the game. 🔥 PRISM QUESTION: WHAT HAPPENED TO DRAKE MAYE? Was this simply a BAD NIGHT against an elite Seattle defense? OR… Did Seattle expose something other teams can use against Maye this season? 👀 Because New England had EVERY opportunity to win this game. And Drake Maye gave it away. #PRISMTODAY #NFL #Patriots #Seahawks #DrakeMaye

🏈 THE NFL IS OFFICIALLY BACK TONIGHT! 🔥 PATRIOTS 🆚 SEAHAWKS ⏰ 8:20 PM ET 📍 Seattle And what a way to start the season… A SUPER BOWL REMATCH. 👀🏆 Seattle beat New England 29-13 in Super Bowl LX. Now Drake Maye and the Patriots get an IMMEDIATE chance at revenge. 🔥 WHAT TO WATCH: 🧠 DRAKE MAYE vs SEATTLE’S DEFENSE Seattle made life MISERABLE for Maye in the Super Bowl, sacking him SIX TIMES. But New England added a serious weapon this offseason… A.J. BROWN. 😳 Maye + AJ Brown could completely change this matchup. 🔒 CHRISTIAN GONZALEZ Fresh off his MASSIVE extension, Gonzalez gets an immediate test against Seattle’s passing attack. Can the Patriots defense slow down Sam Darnold and company? 🚑 BIG LOSS FOR NEW ENGLAND: TreVeyon Henderson is OUT tonight with an ankle injury. That means Rhamondre Stevenson should see a bigger workload. 🏆 CAN SEATTLE PICK UP WHERE THEY LEFT OFF? The defending champs are at HOME. Seattle’s defense dominated this matchup seven months ago. But repeating that performance won’t be easy. 🔮 PRISM PREDICTION: PATRIOTS WIN A CLOSE ONE. 👀 I think New England comes into Seattle with something to prove. Maye has more weapons. The Patriots have had an entire offseason to study what went wrong in the Super Bowl. And I think this one comes down to the FINAL POSSESSION. 🎯 PRISM SCORE PREDICTION: PATRIOTS 24 SEAHAWKS 21 REVENGE IN SEATTLE. 😳🔥 WHO YOU GOT TONIGHT? 🔵 PATRIOTS OR 🟢 SEAHAWKS? DROP YOUR SCORE PREDICTION. 👇 #PRISMTODAY #NFL #Patriots #Seahawks #NFLKickoff

🚨 WESTERN MICHIGAN vs MICHIGAN ISN’T OVER YET! 😳🏈 The MAC has officially APPEALED the controversial ending of Michigan’s 13-12 win over Western Michigan. Remember what happened? • Western Michigan appeared to win 12-7 • Michigan’s first Hail Mary fell incomplete as the clock hit 0:00 • Replay officials put ONE SECOND back on the clock • Bryce Underwood got another chance • Underwood found JJ Buchanan for a 47-YARD WALK-OFF TD 🤯 Michigan wins 13-12. BUT NOW THE MAC SAYS THE FINAL PLAY SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED. 👀 After further investigation, the MAC says the Big Ten replay crew DID NOT follow proper replay protocol. According to the MAC: ⏰ Officials were supposed to use the game clock shown on the PROGRAM FEED. Instead… They used a separate clock feed embedded in the Big Ten replay system. And the MAC says if the proper clock had been used: WESTERN MICHIGAN WINS 12-7. 😳 Now the conference has formally asked the NCAA and College Football Playoff to recognize Western Michigan as the ACTUAL WINNER for ranking and CFP evaluation purposes. Here’s the problem… The NCAA says there currently ISN’T a mechanism for its committees to simply overturn the official result. So Michigan is STILL officially 1-0 from that game. But this could become MUCH bigger than one win or loss. Imagine Western Michigan ends the year fighting for a CFP spot… And THIS GAME is the difference. 😬 🔥 PRISM QUESTION: Should the NCAA OVERTURN the result and give Western Michigan the win? OR… Once the game is final, should the result STAND regardless of an officiating/replay mistake? Because if the MAC is correct… Western Michigan might’ve literally had a WIN taken away from them. 😳 #PRISMTODAY #CollegeFootball #Michigan #WesternMichigan #CFB

Now look at the semifinal: 🇺🇸 BEN SHELTON vs. 🇺🇸 FRANCES TIAFOE That means an AMERICAN MAN is guaranteed to reach the US Open Final. 🔥 The U.S. is still searching for its first men’s Grand Slam singles champion since Andy Roddick in 2003. 🌎 YESTERDAY AROUND THE SPORTS WORLD: 🏈 COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAVE US ANOTHER WILD ONE. 🚨 #19 SMU SURVIVES FLORIDA STATE 27-24! THIS GAME HAD EVERYTHING. 😳 • Kickoff delayed nearly TWO HOURS because of a power outage • Kevin Jennings: 26/36 | 430 YDS | 3 TD 🔥 • SMU piled up 585 TOTAL YARDS • Florida State forced FOUR turnovers • Ousmane Kromah: 22 CAR | 116 YDS | TD • FSU tied the game 24-24 in the 4th • Nick Reed drills the GAME-WINNING FG with 21 seconds left 🎯 But here’s the CRAZY part… SMU turned the ball over FOUR TIMES… AND STILL WON ON THE ROAD. 🤯 Jennings hit Yannick Smith for a 79-YARD TD in the 4th before FSU answered to tie it. Then SMU marched 71 yards and WON IT. That’s a HUGE ACC road win. And Florida State? They’re 1-1 with #13 Alabama waiting after the bye. 👀 ⚾️ AROUND THE BASES: September baseball is officially in CRUNCH TIME. Playoff races are tightening. Every series matters. Every loss gets BIGGER. And when SMU needed one final drive… HE DELIVERED. 🎯 But PRISM has a question… HOW does Florida State force FOUR turnovers at home and STILL lose? 😳 SMU might be FOR REAL. Florida State might have some QUESTIONS to answer. BUYING SMU as a legitimate ACC contender… or SELLING after one game? 👀 #PRISMTODAY #CollegeFootball #CFB #SMU #FloridaState #MLB #USOpen
