In conclusion, you are disrespecting and wasting Penn State fans’ time and money. The ones who know what the program is capable of with the resources at your disposal are sick and tired of it. A bulk won’t be at the rest of the home snoozers. You continue to be incompetent with the decisions you make, and refuse to move on from the “old school” way of doing things. It’s disgracing the program and holding it back. It must be rectified. Now.
Write to Bendapudi, write to newspapers, don't go to games if you believe in boycotts, be vocal about your frustrations, etc. etc. Hold the feet to the fire; turn the heat on. PSU's incompetence has held the program back for far too long now: enough is enough with the clown operation there at UP. They continue to disrespect and embarrass this fanbase by creating a product that doesn't equate to the standards they preach, the resources at their disposal, nor the money us fans pay every fall.

I love Penn State football. I love the tradition…
However it’s 2026. We can’t keep living in 1982 thinking we’ll be successful. There’s a way to honor the past and tradition without making it our whole identity. Things gotta change 🤔
Yep. People think my persistent glass half empty talk on here is some act, no. I know I speak for a decent proportion of fans (unfortunately not all) who are sick of @GoPSUsports' steadfast refusal to get serious in elevating the program where it should be. They’ve had years to do so and they consistently give fans the middle finger (🧵)
Inexcusable. Unfathomable. Wake up, Nittany Nation.
It’s ok to say you don’t understand and that you would like PSU to remain as is.
@GoPSUsports then had all the time in the world to hire a good and serious coach for once, and instead of doing so and shutting the haters and revisionist historians up by finally taking the opportunity to maximize PSU’s resources (like Indiana of all places has for football btw and PSU has more checked boxes than them!), PSU gave us the middle finger yet again by nationally embarrassing us w/ Kraft inexplicably going rogue and chasing and then fumbling a coach who’s coached in Utah all but 1 yr the last ~25 yrs, and, because of the fumble, hiring the exact opposite person this program needed. It's an unfathomable situation that is objectively impressive because of how it was almost impossible to pull off. PSU somehow always pulls off the impossible though, and not the good kind. Penn State was warned not to screw it up. They did.
@GoPSUsports / @PennStateFball needs a killer-instinct, more with more culture, not a boring, old-school, counter-productive “more with less” one where we're gonna be loyal to the wrong guys, and be a charity to the opposition because of the stubborn refusal to make simple adjustments, and getting superior talent for the sake of "doing things the right way" and "success with honor." While programs like Ohio State, and now Indiana, among others, continue to play killer-instinct football, Penn State wants to stay boring and play 1985 “moneyball.” In light of all of this, it is perfectly ok to be infuriated at this (inexcusable) juncture. As PSU fans, we've always shown up. It's time for them to show up, wake up, and return the favor for once.

Replying to @PSUStats @GoPSUsports
I used to hate your pessimism but now I can’t help but agree. PSU needs to completely uproot everything from within. Most importantly the old JoePa cult followers who will burn this institution to the ground before evolving their ways.

Maryland is going to get serious and hire a real football coach before PSU aren’t they?
NEW: Brian Kelly and UNLV's Dan Mullen are on the Maryland Head Coach Hot Board👀

Yep. This is my prediction. @GoPSUsports will refuse to cut bait and go down an untenable path instead of facing reality and investing in him now, and Michigan is going to fire Whittingham in the next year or two and hire him while laughing at how stupid PSU is while PSU continues the non-existent build and lose him forever.
PSU will then fire CMC 4-5 years from now and then hire another “do more with less,” “blue-collar” guy instead of the next flashy hire and repeat the same cycle. That’s what PSU does. PSU needs a miracle here.

When will the streak snap (if at all)?
This is the 3rd time in the 2020s PSU has had a season with a 4 game Big Ten losing streak. PSU has had back-to-back seasons with a 4 game Big Ten losing streak since the 2003-2004 seasons, which were within the affectionately-called "Dark Ages" era. Disgraceful.
Again: This can't happen at Penn State. It's inexcusable. Fans deserve answers for why @GoPSUsports continues to hold the program back.

“I don’t want Penn State to get Chesney because they’d have a serious coach for once”

Penn State basketball has more wins in the past month than PSU football and men’s hockey combined
Matt Campbell is fucking boring to death. Last person this stupid program should’ve hired. He’s sucking the life out of Penn State football and isn’t attractive to big time recruits. Hearing him speak old-school philosophical world salad shows he has zero clue. That’s a problem. He’s putting the fanbase to sleep and lessening interest for the first time. Re-energize and awake the fanbase and hire Chesney this offseason. Get it done, @GoPSUsports.
Matt Campbell on Penn State QB Rocco Becht after his three turnovers vs. Michigan
"Are those just the quarterback? There were two Saturday that were. And yet we're not even in the position to be successful in that game without all the other really great things that happened in that game."
Campbell applauds Becht's ability to connect with WR Chase Sowell, ability to throw downfield, & his ability to convert on multiple third downs in "some critical situations"
Also, here are the Top 10 seasons rushing yards-wise through the first 4 Big Ten games (out of 27 seasons this century):
1. 2018--972 yards (9-3 reg. season record)
2. 2005--871 yards (10-1 record)
3. 2011--803 yards (9-3 record)
4. 2009--790 yards (10-2 record)
5. 2008--780 yards (11-1 record)
6. 2016--743 yards (10-2 record)
7. 2015--727 yards (7-5 record)
8. 2002--707 yards (9-3 record)
9. 2007--707 yards (8-4 record)
10. 2019--685 yards (10-2 record)
Reg. season record ceiling in the Top 10: 11-1
Reg. season floor in the Top 10: 7-5
There is, arguably, only 1 season (2 seasons if you include '02) in the Top 10 that were in the "dark ages" and sanction eras
Part of the reason PSU football is horrific this year, aside from the incompetence of Matt Campbell and Pat Kraft, is PSU's horrendous running game (🧵).
Through the first 7 games this season, PSU has only amassed 915 rushing yards. This is the 7th worst start to the season rushing yards-wise this century (Bottom 10 out of 27 seasons):
27. 2014--575 yards (6-6 reg. season record)
26. 2001--772 yards (5-6 record)
25. 2000--811 yards (5-7 record)
24. 2004--832 yards (4-7 record)
23. 2021--832 yards (7-5 record)
22. 2010--901 yards (7-5 record)
21. 2026--915 yards (? record, currently 3-4)
20. 2012--1,045 yards (8-4 record)
19. 2013--1,063 yards (7-5 record)
18. 2003--1,067 yards (3-9 record)
Reg. season record ceiling in the Bottom 10: 8-4
Reg. season record floor in the Bottom 10: 3-9
Ironic.
Besides 2026, only 2 of these seasons (2010 & 2021) are outside of the "dark ages" and sanction eras
For those curious, here are the Top 10 seasons rushing yards-wise through the first 7 games of the season (out of 27 seasons this century):
1. 2018--1,684 yards (9-3 reg. season record)
2. 2008--1,646 yards (11-1 record)
3. 2005--1,421 yards (10-1 record)
4. 2024--1,380 yards (11-1 record)
5. 2002--1,375 yards (9-3 record)
6. 2009--1,309 yards (10-2 record)
7. 2007--1,298 yards (8-4 record)
8. 2023--1,269 yards (10-2 record)
9. 2019--1,261 yards (10-2 record)
10. 2022--1,249 yards (10-2 record)
Reg. season record ceiling in the Top 10: 11-1
Reg. season record floor in the Top 10: 8-4
There are 0 seasons (1 season if you include '02) in the Top 10 that were in the "dark ages" and sanction eras
