When you treat crime as a human rights issue, you get more crime, which is what we are all living with.
One thing I took away from this discussion about El Salvador is that the democracy cult is fine with some level of crime because putting criminal gangbangers in prison infringes on the gangbanger’s civil liberties and human rights. Of course the democracy cult members typically do not live in affected communities, especially those at Harvard.
These are the same people who said nothing when the civil liberties and human rights of the J6ers were violated so their concern appears to be political in nature (ie prison abolitionists, etc).
