The key to happiness - or that even more desired thing, calmness - lies not in always thinking happy thoughts. No. That is impossible. No mind on earth with any kind of intelligence could spend a lifetime enjoying only happy thoughts. They key is in accepting your thoughts, all of them, even the bad ones. Accept thoughts, but don't become them.
Understand, for instance, that having a sad thought, even having a continual succession of sad thoughts, is not the same as being a sad person.

The death of 1-year old Kohen Wiley is a tragedy that demands truth and accountability.
An officer opened fire into a vehicle outside a Mississippi Walmart after accusing Kohen's mother of shoplifting, even though receipts proved she legally purchased the diapers. Kohen Wiley was inside the vehicle when he was fatally shot by police officer.
The decision by state authorities to decline pressing charges fails to honor the standard of justice every family deserves. The King Center calls for a thorough review and full justice for Kohen and his family.
