I'm not writing off a Hall of Famer in October. But 103 and 86 allowed in two exhibitions is not the Tennessee we're used to.
You guys feeling like this is early 'Gainey effect', or just preseason noise?
Was Gainey the secret sauce for Tennessee's defensive dominance during his tenure?
The Vols have given up 189 points over two exhibition games this season.
Meanwhile, Riley Collins, who followed him from Tennessee, says, โEverything kind of ran through Coach Gainey.โ
It's early, but it's something worth monitoring. Here are the numbers ๐

Had a great time talking basketball with the TRT guys.
They bring a great perspective and a long-form, scheme-focused approach that fills a niche that few other NC State media sites touch.
Give them a listen and a follow.

My line: 8 wins. Most of this fan base can live with that. 7 splits the room.
What's your number? And which game on the back half worries you most?

NC State rarely releases a Depth Chart, but they did this week leading up to the Stanford game.
If you were the coach, what changes would you make to the Depth Chart?

Justin Gainey's NC State coaching debut was bookended by great defense.

Last 2:50 --> Held MSU without a FG
