Since the Kadena app disappeared from @Ledger Live's catalog, KDA holders with a current-firmware Ledger had no way to install it. The last official build (v1.2.0, Oct 2025) targets an older firmware API — today's Nano S+ (OS 1.6.x) simply rejects it. Nobody had picked it up since.
We rebuilt it. 🔧
✅ Rebuilt from source against the current Ledger SDK (API_LEVEL 26) — installs on today's firmware
✅ Full emulator test suite green on all five Ledger device targets (Nano S+/X, Stax, Flex, Gen 5)
✅ Proven end-to-end on real hardware: install → key derivation → clear-sign & hash-sign → transaction mined
✅ Security hardened: an independent review of the signing/display path found pre-existing memory-safety defects that live in the old official binaries — fixed in this build
✅ Every Ledger CI gate green, including the mandatory guidelines_enforcer
✅ Fully open source, Apache-2.0, continuing Zondax_ch's original work with credit intact

Advanced users on Nano S+ can sideload today (instructions + checksums in the release). Nano X, Stax, Flex and Gen 5 have no sideload path — those need the official route:
📮 Next step: the official submission to @Ledger, so the Kadena app returns to Ledger Live for everyone. That process includes Ledger's review and an independent security audit; we'll share progress as it moves.
