Today is not an ordinary day. Today marks the anniversary of the loss of my son, Rakan. My little boy, who came into this world after five years of waiting, lived for only nine months, and then was taken from us in a single moment under the bombardment. On October 9, 2023, at around 2 a.m., I returned from my work as a journalist through the fire and destruction, only to find that my family was buried beneath the rubble… and Rakan was among them. I cannot describe what it feels like for a father to search through the rubble for his child, or how a heart can accept that the little face that once filled our home with life will never come back. Three years have passed… and I still find myself looking for him in the details of my life. In my children’s laughter, in children’s toys, and every time I hold a child in my arms. I once thought time would make the pain easier. Instead, it has only taught me how to carry it. And today, as I hold Yaman in my arms, I feel that Rakan is still with me in another way. Yaman is not a replacement for him, and he never could be. Every child has a place in their father’s heart, and Rakan has a place that no one can ever take. Rakan… You were only nine months of my life, but you left behind a lifetime in my heart. You left this world so young, but your memory grows with me every day. May God have mercy on my son Rakan and make him among the birds of Paradise. May He reunite me with him one day, in a place with no bombardment, no fear, and no separation. I miss you, Rakan… more than words could ever express.

With food prices skyrocketing in Gaza, securing even the most basic necessities for my family has become a daily struggle. We need to buy essential food supplies to feed our children and family amid these harsh conditions. Your donations, no matter how small, make a real difference and help us put food on our table. Thank you to everyone who stands with us and remembers the families of Gaza. chuffed.org/project/158698-h…

No bread in Gaza today! These are the first queues for a loaf of bread in Gaza, as several bakeries have shut down, flour has become scarce, and its price has soared. The emergence of these scenes signals war and death under the banner of a β€œloaf of bread.” We are raising our voices so the occupation does not continue pushing starvation further, and so people do not die over a handful of flour. This is Gaza, facing starvation for the third time.

Social Development Ministry: Thousands of Displaced Families in Gaza Face the Threat of Further Displacement October 21, 2026 The Ministry of Social Development expressed concern over the growing number of displaced families in the Gaza Strip facing the threat of further displacement due to shrinking shelter space and rising living and psychological burdens. The ministry warned of the dangers of overcrowding in displacement camps and the possibility that some families may be forced to spend the night in unsafe locations. It stressed that providing tents alone is insufficient without ensuring access to clean water, healthcare, and food.

If the world insists on assigning the label of terrorism, why not go back to 1948? When Zionist militias attacked Palestinian villages, committed massacres, killed civilians, and displaced a people from their land, what was that called? Why is October 7 mentioned as though history began on that day, as though nothing had existed before it? Are we expected to forget the Nakba, erase the massacres, and accept a narrative that begins where they want it to and ends where they want it to? History does not begin with the event that suits the powerful, and justice is indivisible. Crimes must be held to account fairly, regardless of who committed them, rather than being turned into a tool for monopolizing victimhood and erasing the memory of an entire people.

Israeli journalist Uri Misgav has published a photo of the Prime Minister’s residence in Jerusalem, β€œBeit Netanyahu,” showing it reinforced with protective nets against suicide drones. Is this preparation for a war or the next round of fighting?

Random gunfire directed at displaced people’s tents this morning in Hamad City, southern Gaza. Imagine this: children, women, elderly people, and injured civilians are sleeping amid this destruction, inside fragile tents. Every day, Israeli occupation tanks fire randomly toward these tents, putting the lives of innocent civilians at risk. Who will stop this crime? Please share this urgent appeal and help amplify our voices for the sake of these children. They deserve to live in safety, not in constant fear of being shot while sleeping. Make their voices heard. Do it for the children.

Imagine living every day not knowing whether you will survive the bullets, or whether your child will return safely to your arms... These are scenes unfolding daily in Gaza. Families are living in terror under a hail of bullets, with gunfire continuing day and night. Amid the screams of children and mothers' fears for their little ones, bullets continue to claim lives and leave people injured every single day.

For those who want to know what is happening in Gaza: These images that emerged from Gaza show the remains of an iron bed, crushed and folded in on itself by the force of a bombing that completely destroyed the family’s home. A child had been sleeping on that bed. Among the twisted wreckage, a milk bottle was found. After nearly three years buried beneath the rubble, the remains of the child and their family were finally recovered yesterday.

The World Food Programme announces the suspension of food assistance to half a million people in Gaza. October 19, 2026 The World Food Programme (WFP) announced on October 19, 2026, that it would suspend food assistance to approximately half a million people in the Gaza Strip due to a funding shortage. Acting Executive Director Carl Skau explained that the number of beneficiaries had fallen from 1.6 million to 1.1 million, with food rations cut in half, cash assistance reduced for 75,000 families, and 100,000 daily hot meals discontinued. The UN official warned that the humanitarian crisis could worsen as winter approaches, urging donors to provide the necessary funding to prevent conditions from deteriorating further.

My message to the French people, from the heart of Gaza: You have every right to protest, to be angry, and to demand your rights and a dignified life. But do not let your anger become a reason to destroy your country, loot shops, or burn property. Remember that behind every shop is a family struggling to survive, and behind every burned door is a person who may lose their livelihood. Destroying property does not punish those in power as much as it deepens the suffering of innocent people. Here in Gaza, we know all too well what it means to lose your home, your livelihood, and your memories, and to stand helpless before the destruction. That is why I hope no other people ever have to experience what we have endured, and that no one is forced to rebuild their life from the rubble. Protest loudly, demand your rights courageously, and do not give anyone an excuse to dismiss your demands because of vandalism. Protect your country, because a nation is not just its government; it is its people, their homes, their livelihoods, and their memories. From Gaza, where destruction has taught us the value of everything that is lost, I say to you: Stand up for your rights, but do not destroy with your own hands what your children will need to rebuild tomorrow. #Paris

Three Years Since the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital Massacre in Gaza. More than 450 Palestinians killed and hundreds wounded. On that night, a shelter for displaced civilians turned into a scene of death and devastation, as civilians seeking safety inside the hospital were killed and injured. Three years later, that night remains an open wound in Gaza’s collective memory and a stark reminder of the tragedy of a people who could not find safety even in the places they fled to escape the bombing. Three years have passed, but the memory remains. The victims’ lives must never be forgotten.

Rain is now falling on our worn-out tents. Our children are shivering in the cold, surrounded by water. Can you hear me? πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡
Winter is approaching, and the cold is drawing closer to our worn-out tents. Your donation is more than just assistance; it is a lifeline for my family, warmth for my children, and hope as we face the harsh winter ahead. Please don't leave my family to face the cold alone. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a real difference in our lives. chuffed.org/project/158698-h…

She is raising her middle finger while arresting an elderly Palestinian man and covering his head. Is this what she calls the rule of law and human rights? This is the occupation. Do you see it? She is directing that gesture at all of us.

This is how residents live near the Yellow Line east of Gaza: behind sand barriers, surrounded by fear, in tents exposed to Israeli gunfire. Every day, people are injured and killed by random bullets.
