Our new AI Chat lets you ask questions about your docs and follow up in saved conversations. Use it to summarize part of a doc, define unfamiliar terms or other ways to help you learn. You can also get info about Paper2Audio itself. Select “Ask AI” in the document menu to begin.
Start listening to your document much faster with our new playback mode: real-time audio! You don't need to wait for the entire audio file to finish generating before listening. Instead, change voices directly in the player while you listen without creating a new audio file.
We’re committed to keeping Paper2Audio accessible for all who need it, so you can still process the same amount of docs. Like before, your weekly usage limit is based on full audio duration and you can listen as much as you like without using up more of your limit.
Add offline audio versions and download them to listen without an internet connection. View which docs are offline, control downloads, and switch between real-time and offline audio. Manage versions individually and remove copies from your device when you don't need them.

September updates: Refreshed layout and menus
Redesigned player: Playback speed, table of contents, bookmarks, and sleep timer are now directly accessible while listening instead of buried in the “...” menu, with improved progress markers and timestamps.
Faster document management: A new Organize control combines search, sorting, and filters, while selection mode supports Select All and bulk actions.

New Plus Plan feature: Transcript ExportExport a doc transcript as a Markdown file for use with other tools. “Export transcript” option is available in the document’s “...” menu (currently only available on web)
Reader View improvements: Hyperlinks in docs are clickable underlined text in the reader view. Tapping or clicking a link opens it in the browser.
Reader View improvements: Footnotes and references are now shown in the Reader View for PDFs. They appear in their original position in the text, visually distinct and are skipped during audio playback. No audio is generated for them; they are shown for reference only.
New visual element narration options: Choose how tables, math, and code are narrated. "Summary" (default) gives a concise summary, while "Read as is" reads the content verbatim. Or, you can skip narration for these elements during playback entirely.
