🚨 Breaking: Bruno Fernandes has been benched by Michael Carrick for Man United vs Bournemouth, as @lauriewhitwell reports. Decision made by the manager — follows bad form and post-Como game criticism to the tactics.

nah eze’s first touch is actually insane

The ref had some absolutely shockers today btw. Terrible overall performance, but this took the biscuit. Just look at the reaction of everyone there including Everton players.

🗣️ Mikel Arteta on the tactical challenges facing a 16-year-old "This is not Arsenal. This is the level at every club. "Unless, and I don't want to mention a club, you have three guys in the team score over 100 goals, and then you can put one or two there, and okay, they can evolve, and the nature of the games will develop them. "Here it's different, and the margins are much smaller, and he needs to be able to do that by understanding where he is as well, you know? "And he's someone that really wants to learn, and he really wants to do it. He just needs to have it, and a habit takes some time to do it. "But certainly this is important. What we cannot take is the talent, the freedom, and the capacity that he has to do the things that are not on that piece of paper and the ones that you haven't described, because he is unique at doing that." 🗣️ On how rare Dowman's achievements are at 16: "Tell me how many 16-year-olds have played in the last 100 years at this level. It's simple. "So there isn't. None. Zero. There isn't a single player. So that's it. That's why he's unique."Otherwise he would be one of some. It isn't. He's not a case, another case like this." When Wayne Rooney was mentioned: "At 16? Probably a lot more, yeah, but anyway. But every three days, I'm playing Champions League, I'm playing... it wasn't. So that's the level." 🗣️ On young players emerging in other countries: "Yeah, there are, and hopefully there are more as well, and make sure that the age as well. We don't stop them, especially when they have that kind of talent."

Mikel Arteta says he has been clipping up footage of other managers leaving the technical area during matches. He says he has evidence of other coaches leaving the technical area more than 30 times in 10 minutes without getting a yellow. He was booked today against Everton.

Mikel Arteta says he has a whole folder of evidence of other managers who leave the technical area more than him 😭😭😭
