Through #EMPOWERUG, we joined MPs, @minofHealthUg and partners to discuss Uganda’s proposed Health Financing Strategy.
The dialogue focused on domestic financing for SRH, National Health Insurance, financial protection, and stronger health systems.

From 10 to 25 IUD insertions per month at Iganga General Hospital. #EMPOWERUG’s mentorship model is strengthening provider skills and improving #commodity availability across 504 supported facilities, helping more #women access long-acting family planning services. @UKinUganda
Over 2,000 learners have been reached, 8 inspectors of schools trained, and 43 senior women & men teachers equipped to deliver life skills sessions.

Reflecting on the first 2 quarters of #EMPOWERUG, early results are already showing great impact;
- 478,303 CYPs delivered
- 355 Maternal deaths averted
- 52,423 Unsafe abortions averted

At Kikyekye HC III, we met the Village Health Teams implementing #EMPOWERUG's House Hold Model to tackle harmful practices. A key highlight was the facility's use of data to deliver tailored messages, that improved uptake of immediate post delivery family planning services.
