Every day Trump attacks another Canadian industry. Today, he’s targeting Canadian potash which comes primarily from Saskatchewan and ships out of BC ports. Trump is trying to use trade with dictators in Eastern Europe to hurt Canadian workers and businesses. I stand with the Premier of Saskatchewan, the Prime Minister, and all Canadians, to protect our workers and industries from US control.

Trump’s trade war means businesses are dealing with new pressures, and many are making tough decisions. That’s why we will delay the planned expansion of the PST to a number of professional services, which other provinces include, but that many small businesses rely on.

Connecting one million people to primary care shows that our plan is working. We won’t stop until every British Columbian who wants a family doctor or nurse practitioner has one.

B.C. and Canada will trade with whoever we want, not who the U.S. tells us to.

We didn’t ask for this fight, but we will win it. We will stand shoulder to shoulder, coast to coast, for this great country.

British Columbians will always stand with Canada.  Our politeness should never be mistaken for weakness. We’ll always defend ourselves.  We didn’t ask for this, but we’ll keep fighting for as long as it takes.

I am deeply saddened by the news from the RCMP that a woman lost her life during the Bald Range wildfire evacuation. My heart goes out to her family, friends, neighbours, and all those who knew her and will miss her.
