With the 2019 World Series 7 years in the rear view mirror, I took a look at where all the starters are now. This was a 2,000 word journey! federalbaseball.com/washingt…
For the first time in what feels like forever, the Nationals have multiple catching options I’m at least semi-confident about. They could roll with the proven Ruiz/Ford tandem into 2027, or get crazy and perhaps trade Ruiz to bolster the pitching and give Maxwell Romero Jr a shot
Our guy @PaulCubbage23 took a deep dive into the state of the Nationals catching room. It is in much better shape than it was a year ago federalbaseball.com/washingt…
Throwing something on the grill for this news

Shai should be the great uniter. Analytics nerds should love him because his metrics are insane. “That boy nice” enjoyers should love him because he’s the toughest bucket in the league. Instead, he is widely hated. I’ll never get it. He’s fucking incredible and a joy to watch.
Now here’s a guy who knows ball
Drake Maye says he used to play Rocket League until 1 a.m., but getting married moved him to the 8 p.m. tournament
“For college, I was 12:30. I played Rocket League. There’s a tournament every night at 12:00 a.m. Me and my brother and one of my buddies would play. We’d play till 12:30, one o’clock.”
“Every night, and I’d sleep five or six hours and get up and go to football. So, yeah, it wasn’t a great habit in college, but it was just what our generation and what I got used to. So then got married, and now we play the tournament at 8:00, and now I’m done by 9.”

Not including position players, the Nats used 41 pitchers this year. Here are five that you may have forgotten about federalbaseball.com/washingt…
Legitimately I’m at the point with the Commanders where if they traded Jayden Daniels this offseason, I’d just forget about them and passively root for JD5 from there on. I feel nothing for this group of losers
Everyday I’m more and more convinced the 2024 Washington Commanders were a group psychosis and we reentered reality last year
