It’s devastating to realise that the @AlboMP govt is prioritising the demands of a foreign state lobby over the collective interests of everyday citizens. First I was sad, but that's turned into rage. I know I’m not alone. How did you feel when the realization finally hit you?

America sent Black soldiers to fight Hitler. Then its own military police shot them. On June 24, 1943, a group of Black American soldiers were drinking at Ye Olde Hob Inn, a pub in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire. They were stationed in England to support the war against Nazi Germany. Their unit, the 1511th Quartermaster Truck Regiment, transported supplies for the US Eighth Air Force. The American military was segregated. Black soldiers served in separate units, usually commanded by white officers, and were subjected to institutional discrimination. But the people of Bamber Bridge weren't particularly interested in importing America's racial hierarchy into their pubs. Black American servicemen were welcomed, drank alongside white customers and socialised with local women. That evening, two white American military policemen attempted to arrest Private Eugene Nunn for not wearing the prescribed uniform. British locals and other soldiers intervened. Why arrest him? He wasn't bothering anyone. A scuffle followed. The MPs withdrew, promising to return with reinforcements. They did. The confrontation escalated outside. The military police opened fire, wounding Black soldiers. Back at their camp, rumours spread that white MPs were shooting Black servicemen. Then more military policemen arrived, including an armoured vehicle equipped with a machine gun. The Black soldiers feared they were about to be attacked. Some raided their own armoury, taking rifles and ammunition. And so began the Battle of Bamber Bridge. For approximately five hours, American soldiers exchanged gunfire with other American soldiers in the streets of a small English village. Hundreds of rounds were fired. Private William Crossland, a Black American soldier, was shot dead. Several others were wounded. And what happened afterwards? Dozens of Black soldiers were convicted of offences including mutiny, although many of their sentences were subsequently reduced or overturned. No white military policeman was prosecuted for the killing. General Ira Eaker, commander of the Eighth Air Force, recognised the wider problem. He reportedly concluded that white servicemen were responsible for 90% of the racial trouble in his command. The military subsequently introduced mixed-race MP patrols and other reforms. But the US armed forces remained officially segregated until President Harry Truman ordered desegregation in 1948. There's another fascinating detail. The novelist Anthony Burgess, who lived in Bamber Bridge after the war, recalled that when American authorities attempted to impose segregation on local pubs, at least one establishment instead excluded white American soldiers. Whether the famous 'Black Troops Only' signs actually existed as commonly described remains uncertain. But the hostility of some white American personnel towards the villagers' treatment of Black soldiers is extensively documented. The whole episode says something about the gap between the ideals for which America claimed to be fighting and the treatment of its own citizens. William Crossland crossed the Atlantic in the service of a country fighting Nazi Germany. He never came home. Not because a German soldier shot him. Because an American did.

France is showing the world what real accountability looks like. Paris prosecutors have launched a major criminal investigation into Elon Musk’s X, raided its Paris offices and summoned Musk and former CEO Linda Yaccarino for questioning. The allegations are staggering, political manipulation through algorithms, child sexual abuse material, sexually explicit deepfakes generated by Grok without consent, Holocaust denial, unlawful data extraction and election interference. While Musk parades around pretending to be a defender of free speech, his platform faces allegations involving the exploitation of children, the sexual abuse of women through AI-generated imagery, the manipulation of political discourse and threats to democratic elections. Bravo, France! This is what standing up to billionaire arrogance looks like. Democracy is not a billionaire's personal playground, social media platforms are not above the law, and Elon Musk does not get to buy himself immunity from accountability. France is making it clear that the rule of law still matters, and the rest of the democratic world should be paying attention.

Iran has not attacked another nation in the Middle East in over 200 years. Israel has attacked every nation in the Middle East uninterrupted for the past 80 years. Yet mainstream media has convinced you that it’s Iran 🇮🇷 Are you dumb?

We had to have a referendum to even consider giving Indigenous Australians a Voice to Parliament, and yet the Zionist Lobby get to rewrite our laws and change our education curricula against the wishes of the majority of Australians. Make it make sense. #auspol

David Shoebridge and David Pocock are asking the questions most Australians want answered. Nobody else is. They are calm, intelligent and tell the truth. A trait absent in most politicians. They are more than worthy of our backing and votes.

Absolute fire here from Monique Ryan: “She is a negative force in Australian politics.” For decades Pauline Hanson has been platformed and legitimised despite the racism, bigotry and division. If you’re going to give her the platform and the reach, then hold her to account.

I was in the UK just a few weeks ago and I was astounded to hear Pauline Hanson was well known there. However, she is well known only for her racism and bigotry and the UK people can't understand, why Australia tolerates her. I wonder the same about Farage.

Keep Jillian Segal and the Zionist Lobby out of our Schools and Universities. Their propaganda and rule changes are not wanted. Society doesn’t want their interference either. Australia is a free thinking democracy that respects decency and the law without foreign interference.

To all those One Nation and Coalition types who have condemned Labor for its government deficits, the most recent four years are Labor’s (small surpluses and deficits as a proportion of GDP) while the deep red ones are Coalition deficits.

If Pauline Hanson had her legs cut off by a nutter & Labor or Greens ran cartoons with images of people being run over, do you REALLY think One Nation would laugh it off as ‘satire’? Of course not. It’s time politicians got serious on level of VIOLENCE gripping Australia. #auspol
