I’ve built two pixel worlds from scratch -@basedminis and @peekcellOdyssey.
No team. No funding. Just me, a tablet, and a love for storytelling.
This thread is my love letter to both projects - and to you for believing in what I create 🧵👇

Exit Notes - An Origin Story

Bitcoin was born to decentralize money. Its proliferation, however, was inherently centralized with the English language a quiet barrier. The code was permissionless, but understanding it wasn’t. A system designed to remove gatekeepers began with a linguistic one. To be an early participant, you first had to understand what was actually written.
I just received a coffee from Cherry Chimp on @buymeacoffee! buymeacoffee.com/peekcell/c/…
A little glimpse of The Outskirts 🌱
I made a world for the @BasedMinis, and a place for you to take a breather.
Wander, meet a few friendly faces, feed the ducks, and learn something curious along the way :)

The way they STILL interact and serve their community in all ways needed is something that ALL founders and leaders should aspire to be like.
There is no coincidence that all the above people are running very successful projects and brands.

The Outskirts are here 🌱
The Minis have a little world of their own, and you’re invited.
Created by @Peekcell, The Outskirts are an interactive world that brings the Based Minis collection to life beyond the portraits.
Wander through little neighbourhoods, meet the Minis, collect curious facts, and discover a few surprises. Feed the ducks, find a companion, or take a quiet moment on a park bench.
Explore at your own pace on desktop or mobile. Free to visit, no wallet or NFT needed. Your progress saves as you wander.
Come take your first little walk:

P.S. Exploring with little ones? You can turn off OpenSea links in the Menu and let them wander through the Mini world, meet cute pixel characters, and learn a few fun facts along the way. 🌱
Minis never walk alone.

Looking at this super thin floor and seeing so many bangers and community fav traits is just the perfect time to grab yours a @BasedMinis 😍
Love that review! Thanks for checking it @JanxNFT <3
Just tried the new @BasedMinis game and it looks really good 👀
You can explore the Minis’ world and discover @peekcell work and the story behind it. He founded the project and built this game himself. Having built a game too, I know how much work goes into something like this. 😅
Already completed my first mission: getting coffee beans ☕️ That reminded me of myself whenever I run out 😂
Peekcell actually worked as a barista, so there’s a bit of his own life in there too. Really cool to discover these personal details while playing. I am sure there is more to explore!
Give it a try and tell me what you discover. Which mission did you finish first? 👇

Suuuuper excited to invite you for a stroll through the Minis’ world! 🌱
This little place has been in the making for a while, and it’s finally here. Creating it brought back the cozy feeling of getting lost in pixel worlds when I was younger :)
Hope you find a little comfort wandering through The Outskirts and learn a few cool things along the way :D
