(1/): I spent part of my morning at the Allegheny County Board of Elections, where I testified on behalf of @PennPolicy in support of expanding ballot drop-off locations and satellite election offices across the county. 🗳️ And we made progress. 🧵

PA's minimum wage is still just $7.25/hour. Congress has an opportunity to move us forward. I just wrote a letter to my members of Congress with @pennpolicy that urged them to support the Living Wage for All Act. Join me! Write one here: actionnetwork.org/letters/on…

Wow. The SNAP cuts in the Big Beautiful Bill — already estimated at the time to be the biggest in history — are turning out to be far, far, far deeper than expected (no shade at CBO, cost estimates are hard). We’re witnessing the beginning of a hunger crisis in America.
🚨NEW: In the 9 months after last year’s reconciliation law enacted unprecedented SNAP cuts, the number of people receiving SNAP fell by more than 4.5 million. Based on available data, we estimate that at least 1.5 million fewer kids are receiving SNAP. cbpp.org/research/food-assis…

HUGE climate win in PA! We approved another year of funding for Solar for Schools, the grant program that offsets the costs for schools to generate their own clean energy. It's a win for education, workers, taxpayers, and the planet. Learn more at pahouse.com/fiedler/solar4sc…

We need a $25 minimum wage. If you work full time, you shouldn’t live in poverty conditions. In a nation with 1000 billionaires, don’t tell me we can’t afford to pay everyone a living wage. Don’t take it from me. Listen to the people who work and struggle to pay their bills.
