You didn't know? NUCLEARWATERS.eu is an @ERC_Research project based at @KTHuniversity that aims to put water at the centre of nuclear energy history. Happy to work with Kati Lindström, Anna Storm, @KhandozhkoRoman, @Siegfriedevens, @AKluppelberg and Alicia Gutting.
Perhaps of interest: our new article in Energy Research & Social Science: "Rethinking Energy Materialities in the Shadow of Russia's War on Ukraine". Available open access here:

Sometimes you have to do something different from what you usually do. And if you are an historian of technology, sometimes you need to write about things other than technology. So I decided to write a few essays about beaches. @BarbicanPress1

If you are in Stockholm on Monday 17 June, join us for a special seminar with Prof. David Edgerton @DEHEdgerton on how to write global history of technology. We start at 13.15 hrs and will be at KTH at the address Teknikringen 74D.
Very inspiring workshop today at the Central European University in Vienna on "Reluctant Decarbonization and Militant Petrostates". Thanks to @Sasha_Etkind @OHPA_CEU for the invitation and organization!
Three exceptional PhD theses resulting from our NUCLEAR WATERS project, written by my brilliant doctoral students @AKluppelberg @Siegfriedevens and most recently Alicia Gutting. They are available online.

Nearly 2 years ago, @PerHogselius' article on Central Asia's "hidden integration" was published.
The article remains one of the journal's most highly cited pieces, challenging interpretations of #CentralAsia as a geographical entity.

Good to be back at the Institute for the History of Natural Science in Beijing, where I spent a very happy year as a guest researcher in 2013-2014. Will be giving a few lectures on diverse topics.
Good to be back in Beijing after over 5 years! Renmin University's International Summer School is back in physical format. Happy to have 40+ brilliant Chinese students in my course on natural resources in world history. Less comfortable: +40 degrees centigrade in the air...
