If you're a scientist that serves on an NSF panel that got cancelled today, I'd love to talk to you about it for an NPR story. DM, email or reach out on signal.
My undergrad mentee is graduating in the summer after working in our molecular plant genetics lab for what will be 2 years! He's on the hunt for a lab assistant/technician position after graduation. Seen any posts?

Replying to @BerondaM
@BerondaM at 3, Zavrie wanted her own garden after helping with mine. In the spring she planted a few of her favorite vegetables, tested the pH in the soil and yesterday picked and ate her first cucumber! #BlackBotanistsWeek

Heard that someone told a group of undergrads that they shouldn’t cold email professors about research opportunities…
I mean obviously get lots of opinions from lots of people, but you should ABSOLUTELY be cold emailing professors to ask about research opportunities.
Need test tube racks? My dad has been 3D printing and selling them on Etsy (etsy.com/listing/1100966811/…). They hold PCR, 1.5 ml eppendorf, 15 ml, and 50 ml tubes! Personalise them with your favorite color, name, lab, etc.

Circular economy is how people in the past centuries survived and thrived and had beautiful homes. Did we become too lazy or ignorant?

just for the record: reading articles that use numbers instead of names for citations is a pain.
Come by my poster (700-044) for the last poster session! I'll be there 2:45-3:15 #PlantBio2022
People interested in joining a graduate program and graduate student: please come to our #PlantBio2022 grad school primer in a few hours at 1 pm in Room A107-109. We're learning about creating inclusive lab spaces, what to do after harassment, etc with a great panel!
