ALT FAR OUT is a wacky, queer sci-fi play following three space adventurers- Jed, Ellis and Alma. It’s the year 2150, and the Earth is nearly burnt out. The final existing corporation, Core Corp, has sent 15,000 three-person spaceships into the sky to find the human race a new home. But what is home? And how will they know when they’ve found it? ALT CASTING ALMA Captain of the spaceship- takes her role very seriously (sometimes too seriously!) Medic, voice of reason, majorly in love with her long distance GF back on Earth. Alma has a dry sense of humour and a heart of gold. JED The pilot and navigator of the spaceship. Jed oozes coolness, he's kind-hearted & independent. But he can get on people’s nerves sometimes! We're looking for an actor with great comic timing. ELLIS The ship's head of Comms & Mechanics. Sweet, eclectic, obsessed with tech! Previously a bit of a loner; Ellis longs for community. They are poetic by nature. We're specifically looking for a non-binary actor to play Ellis. These are all roles for LGBTQIA actors & we encourage actors from the global majority to apply Vault Festival
