Statewide Friday 👇

Pennsylvania DEP has declared a statewide Code PURPLE 🟣 Air Quality Alert for particulate matter for Friday, July 17, 2026. 

Wildfire smoke from Canada and Minnesota will impact Pennsylvania creating code purple concentrations of PM2.5. 

Young children, elderly, and those with respiratory problems should avoid all outdoor physical activity.

Check airnow.gov for current conditions in your area throughout the day.

HAPPENING TODAY: We just received notice from @ConstellationEG that they are performing unscheduled testing today (Wed 6/24) on the emergency warning sirens surrounding Limerick Clean Energy Center (formerly "Limerick Generating Station"). There is no emergency/cause for concern.
