Such a waste of a life. RIP, Brother 💙
The wife of PC Matthew Blades, one of our officers who was sadly killed in the collision on the A66 in the early hours of Saturday 22 August 2026, has paid the following tribute to him:
"No words will ever feel like the right words to honour our Matt — my beloved husband, my best friend, and the most devoted father to our two young boys.
"He was an adored son and brother, a perfect son-in-law, and the most fun uncle. He was loved beyond words by all his family and friends, and his loss has left a space that can never be filled.
"He gave his life in the line of duty, protecting and serving others with courage, dedication and selflessness.
"The pain of losing him is beyond words, and our lives will never be the same. Neither will the love he gave us ever fade.
"Our children will grow up knowing what an incredible father he was and will always be, and I will carry his love, his memory and everything we shared with me always.
"He may have left this world committed to the duty he believed in, but his greatest legacy will always be the love he gave to his family.
"We would also like to express our deepest gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all of the emergency services and to our police family who have stood beside us through the most difficult time of our lives.
"The kindness, compassion, love and unwavering support we have received as a family has meant more to us than words could ever express. Every message, visit, gesture of support and every person who has stood alongside us will never be forgotten.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our superhero. Our Matt and Dad❤️"

I saw a post on here asking for people's claim to fame - it made me remember mine.
In short, I'm a Hollywood Actor.

⚖️ Judge Amjad Nawaz has handed down suspended prison sentences in multiple sexual offence cases.
Here are four cases supported by published reports:
🔴 CHAUDHRY ZAMAN, 70 — Convicted of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl. Sentenced to nine months in prison, suspended for 18 months, plus 80 hours of unpaid work.
🔴 MOHAMMED HABIBULLAH, 69 — Dudley imam convicted of sexually assaulting a vulnerable woman. Received six months in prison, suspended for 18 months.
🔴 SANTOKH MAHAL — Convicted of six sexual assaults against four women aged 18 to 47. Received a 12-month prison sentence, suspended.
🔴 DERRICK HEMINGSLEY — Former Dudley councillor and magistrate who admitted taking indecent photographs of two boys under 14. He received 10 months in prison, suspended for two years.
When offenders convicted of sexual crimes avoid immediate imprisonment, the public deserves clear explanations of the sentencing decisions.
These cases raise legitimate questions about sentencing, public confidence and accountability in the justice system.
Whatever is happening right now isn't working for society.
Feeling blessed 😇
Thanks to the governments VAT cut, I managed to save just over £2 on my electricity bill for the past two and a bit weeks.
This is yet another appalling sentence - why on earth he is allowed to continue mingling with society is beyond me.
🚨 70-YEAR-OLD CHILD SEX OFFENDER SPARED JAIL
Archie Rawlings, 70, of Burbage, has walked free from court after admitting seven serious child sex offences.
Rawlings exchanged sexual messages online with a 14-year-old child in October 2023 and arranged to meet for sex.
A police investigation uncovered sexual communications with other children, further planned meetings and extreme pornography depicting an act likely to cause serious genital injury.
Despite admitting all seven offences, Rawlings received a three-year prison sentence suspended for three years.
He was also given a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register indefinitely.
He remains in the community unless his suspended sentence is activated.

🚨 CHILD RAPIST JAILED: VICTIMS RANGED FROM A BABY TO TEENAGERS
Ian Whyte, 62, has been jailed for 12 years after being convicted of nine sexual offences against six children over two decades.
Among his victims was a baby under one, whose milk bottle he contaminated with vodka before sexually abusing her. He also abused a four-year-old boy and raped girls as young as six, with other victims aged nine to 14.
The abuse spanned December 1978 to May 1998. Whyte denied the allegations and accused his victims of conspiring against him.
Sentenced at Edinburgh’s High Court, he received 12 years in prison plus three years on licence. He was placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register indefinitely and banned from contacting his victims.

It appears this subejct was also a child at the time of the offences, but nonetheless shows his appalling character.
🚨 RAPIST SPARED PRISON: TWO SISTERS SPEAK OUT AFTER YEARS OF ABUSE
Two sisters have bravely waived their right to anonymity to expose the devastation left by their rapist cousin - who has walked free from court despite being convicted of eight sexual offences, including two counts of child rape.
Kaylum Hay, 27, of Deal, was handed a three-year prison sentence, suspended for three years, at Canterbury Crown Court after a jury unanimously found him guilty.
He had denied all eight charges.
The convictions relate to one sister. The women describe further alleged abuse against both of them, including rape, sexual assaults, threats and intimidation designed to keep them silent.
The sisters reported their experiences to police in 2021 but Hay did not stand trial until August 2026. They say the years of waiting, followed by a suspended sentence, have left them feeling betrayed.
One sister said:
“For decades I had no voice. I was a child who was confused, frightened, ashamed and manipulated into silence.
“I refuse to be silent anymore.”
The Ministry of Justice expressed sympathy for the victim and praised her courage, while stressing that sentencing decisions are made independently by judges.
Eight sexual offences. Two child rape convictions. No immediate prison sentence.

🚨 ANIMAL CRUELTY CONVICTION: JOSH OWEN, 23, SALTASH, CORNWALL - HAZEL STARVED TO DEATH WHILE IN HIS CARE
Hazel, an XL Bully, was left so severely emaciated that her body had wasted away. When Josh Owen finally took her to a vet, claiming she had “collapsed”, she was already dead.
A post-mortem revealed total muscle wastage, no body fat, dehydration, stomach ulcers linked to prolonged stress and a heavy flea burden. Hazel had lost 43% of her body weight since her previous vet visit.
Owen then ignored RSPCA attempts to contact him for 10½ weeks.
Despite the horrific condition Hazel was left in, Owen received a suspended prison sentence.
SENTENCE:
• 18 weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months
• A further 12-week suspended sentence
• 10-year animal ban, expiring October 2036
• £140 surcharge
Questions remain about whether others who may have shared responsibility for Hazel should have been investigated. Her suffering was severe, and concerns have also been raised about the welfare of two other dogs reportedly associated with Owen.

🚨 SERIAL SEX OFFENDER SIMON GODFREY REPORTEDLY MESSAGING WOMEN FROM A FAKE FACEBOOK ACCOUNT - MAKE HIS FACE KNOWN
Simon Godfrey has a reported history of sexual offending, including grooming a 13-year-old decoy, targeting a teenage girl with severe learning difficulties and possessing tens of thousands of indecent images of children.
In 2020, Godfrey was jailed for 32 months after grooming a 13-year-old decoy for sexual activity. He sent images of his genitals and discussed meeting up for sex.
He was also placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for 10 years.
In 2018, he persuaded another teenage girl with severe learning difficulties to send him naked images. When she refused to meet him, he threatened to have girls he knew beat her up. He also sent her images of his genitals.
In 2015, police found more than 70,000 images on his phone. A sample examined by officers included Category A material, the most serious classification of indecent images of children.
His reported history also includes a 2014 assault on his then-partner involving a knife and grabbing her by the neck.
Now fresh safeguarding concerns have been raised over his alleged online activity.
Godfrey is reportedly using a Facebook account under a false name to message women. His Sexual Harm Prevention Order is said to prohibit him from opening online accounts and remains in force until 2030.
Police have been notified.

🚨 SEX OFFENDER JAILED AFTER DELETING MESSAGES IN BREACH OF SHPO THE DAY HE WAS RELEASED FROM PRISON
Ian Foreman, 40, of Gillingham, has been jailed after repeatedly breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
Checks of his phone uncovered repeated use of a messaging app’s “view once” feature, which breached a condition prohibiting him from deleting messages.
A further investigation found he had deleted numerous messages after communicating with a woman for five days and meeting her for sexual activity.
Two more instances of “view once” messages were also discovered.
Foreman pleaded guilty to all three breaches at Maidstone Crown Court.
He was sentenced to nine months in prison, with a further year added for breaching a suspended sentence.

Day 6 in the hand, foot & mouth house. (Said in my best Geordie accent)
Hand sores are still pretty brutal - feet are the same, still feels like walking on Lego.
Throat ulcers subsiding, fever gone & clearly on the mend.
Never underestimate this 'mild' virus, it can be rough!
More imported scum committing appalling crimes against the elderly.
I don't want this imported trash in my country.
🚨 ROMANIAN GANG JAILED AFTER TARGETING ELDERLY BANK CUSTOMERS IN £40,000 FRAUD
Three Romanian men have been jailed after stealing bank cards from 18 victims, many elderly, in a nationwide scam that left pensioners frightened to leave their homes.
One woman lost £11,100. An 88-year-old was among those targeted, while another victim was arranging her mother’s wake when the gang struck.
At cash machines inside Halifax and Lloyds branches, the gang watched victims enter their PINs before distracting them with a deliberately dropped banknote. They then stole the cards, swapped them for lookalikes and raced to withdraw cash and buy goods.
The gang fraudulently obtained £40,241.99 across England.
Ionut Matei, 40, was jailed for 5 years and 6 months. He had 21 aliases, 18 previous theft convictions and had returned to Britain despite being deported. Vasile Ciubotaru, 45, received 4 years and 8 months, while Ramonel Mandache, 51, was jailed for 3 years.
An 83-year-old Warrington man had £3,990 stolen over four days. He told the court the ordeal had left him too frightened to enter a bank.
Judge David Potter called the operation “the very definition of serious organised crime”, saying the defendants had destroyed elderly victims’ confidence and, in some cases, their ability to live independently.
Although the banks reimbursed the victims, the emotional damage remained.
Two other suspects had yet to face justice at the time of the hearing. A Proceeds of Crime Act hearing will determine how much money can be recovered.

🚨 CAT KILLER WHO THREATENED TO RAPE, BURN ALIVE AND MURDER A FOUR-YEAR-OLD GIRL HAS BEEN RELEASED
Jack Morris was jailed for 41 months in November 2024 after threatening to kill his former partner’s daughter, whom he resented for taking her mother’s attention away from him.
He threatened to rape the child, beat her to death and set her on fire. He also admitted physically abusing her when her mother was out of the room.
His cruelty extended to the family cat, which he repeatedly kicked before beating it to death. He later chillingly admitted enjoying the animal’s suffering.
Norwich Crown Court heard how the mother secretly recorded his threats. Judge Alice Robinson described them as “extreme” and “sadistic”.
After serving around 21 months in prison, Morris has now been released, raising serious safeguarding concerns given his threats against a young child, admitted assaults and fatal violence towards an animal.
