I, a disabled member who sat on a local board for the Swedish left party Vänsterpartiet was bullied and blocked for criticizing their anti-mask/mandates stance and approval of a "herd immunity" strategy. At the same time, their health spokesperson said, "Only the disabled die."

So you’re aware, if you wear glasses, that’s an accessibility aid and you’re disabled. Glasses are just so normalized that most people don’t see it as such. Imagine if most aids were that way. Imagine how much more respect disabled people would get. It’s completely possible.

Alla barn från 6 månaders ålder rekommenderas covidvaccin i USA. Samma vaccin som är godkänt i EU också. Men här i Sverige får man alltså inte ens köpa det om man gärna vill.
Recommendations for COVID-19 Vaccines in Infants, Children, and Adolescents, 2026–2027: Technical Report
🚨AAP’s 2026–27 COVID shot rule in one line: recommended for babies, risk-based for risk kids, optional for healthy 2–18. LongC0VID is why they keep the vaccination door open for all kids.
➡️Points of interest:
• SARS-CoV-2 still circulates year-round; pediatric hospital burden is highest in winter and in the youngest children.
• 2025–26 COVID-NET: overall hospitalization ~35/100,000, infants <6 months ~286/100,000, second only to the oldest adults. Rates then fall with age.
• Updated vaccines still cut severe outcomes: ~76–77% VE against COVID ED visits in children 9 months–4 years. Maternal vaccination ~58% against pregnancy ED visits and ~50–54% against infant hospital contacts in the first 2 months.
• No new safety signals identified.
• 2026–27 U.S. formula: monovalent JN.1-lineage XFG.
➡️AAP recommends:
• All infants 6–23 months (finish a primary series if needed, then one updated dose ≥8 weeks later), including after prior infection
• ≥2 doses if moderately/severely immunocompromised
• One updated dose for ages 2–18 who are high-risk, never vaccinated, in congregate care, or live with high-risk contacts
• Optional one dose/update for other 2–18-year-olds if a parent wants protection
• Flu coadministration is supported
➡️AAP treats pediatric LongC0VID as real and infection-caused, and says vaccination lowers MIS-C and LongC0VID risk. That is a reason to vaccinate after infection and keep access for healthy older children, not a standalone reason to recommend the shot for every 2–18-year-old.🤔
‼️So, AAP’s 2026–27 guidance treats COVID as a concentrated threat to infants, not a universal paediatric emergency. It recommends the updated vaccine( XFG) for every child 6–23 months and every high-risk 2–18-year-old, while strangely treating LongC0VID as a reason to vaccinate after infection and keep the shot optional for healthy older children, not as grounds to mandate it for all of them. Again, this is the now published American Academy of Paediatrics Committee on Infectious diseases technical report, not the CDC, that will certainly spark discussions.
