In N Pinellas, we MUST develop a rich and deep crop of Middle School GBB/WBB Prospects or history will keep repeating itself. Calvary Christian went to States 3x in a row, because the Plentovich Twins largely carried them to States. Carley & Savannah were prepped & ready to go!

REALITY HURTS Unless & until we develop incoming freshmen GBB stars who are superior to vast majority of older teammates on N Pinellas Rosters, we will NEVER be going to States. I will be stunned, if any N Pinellas team goes to States this year. Roadblock teams in all classes!

COUNTRYSIDE RECREATION MS GBB DROP-IN GAME Tonight, Monday 6-7:00pm Full-Court Up to 20 MS GBB players. Any Bay MS Player is welcomed! Tonight: Wide range of abilities. (Stars to raw talent) $10 Card, $11 w/o Card RSVP now Coach Ron Brown 727-424-0049 (Forward To Teammates Now!)

MEASURING TEAM'S BASKETBALL IQ Measure BB IQ by tracking adjustments being made & speed of those adjustments. Major issues- not talking on D, wrong players defending certain opponents, not spotting mismatches, not closing paint, fouling great FT shooters, getting 7th team foul.

MAJOR PROBLEM W/ N PINELLAS GBB We have athletes on the rosters, but they are not WBB or GBB athletes. Consider FT%, FG%, silly close-out fouls, dropping arm on blocks, forced passes, poor shot selection, dribbling into self-trapping spots, silence on D & weak arsenals as proof.

HS DROP-IN GAMES BEGIN IN MID-FEBRUARY & RUN TILL LATE OCT Which HS teams will plug into the Drop-In Game format, if- any? My expectation is that if one or two of the building programs will do so, they will have a huge advantage heading into next season. At a gym near you!

MIDDLE SCHOOL GBB DROP-IN GAMES N Pinellas Drop-In Games balance out the equation. Sharpshooters is only HALF of the solution to improved game performance. Drop-In Games will play THE key role in the application of lessons quickly. HS Coaches need prepped rosters in Oct.

MIDDLE SCHOOL GBB REPORT Where will the three 8th graders go next season? Star, Kayleigh & Sydney by Fall will likely be HS starters. Star of SHMS may go to PHU or C-Side. Syd is going to EL. Kayleigh is either PHU or EL. More 8th graders entering our pipeline. Stay tuned.

North Pinellas GBB, Status N Pinellas GBB is making huge gains this season. Next season, progress will accelerate. Sharpshooters has expanded. Drop-In Games are coming to 5 or more gyms.. EL & C Chr will probably go yr-round. MS Feeder System is now in place. Strong coaching.
