Thanks to Graeme for this fantastic pic from Saturday's #beaver safari. There was lots of family grooming, two kits were out & one was feeding from mum beaver - what a night!
We have 2 places available on our tours on Friday & Saturday this week - join us for beaver fun!

High up in Glenshee a long wait sitting in a pile of rocks was well worth it when this mountain hare came within 15ft

It's the final count down. They hatched on June 6th, 38 days ago. In 7 days, they'll be gone
Compare that nest period to a robin

The Common red soldier beetle is a great garden friend as it eats aphids as well as pollen and nectar.
This amorous couple were on a Hogweed flower.
Did you know Common hogweed is edible and can be lightly steamed and eaten like asparagus? Yum yum.
#Beaver joy for our clients last night including my 1st good view of one of this years wee kits! Plus a cheeky Pine marten on the way home 💚 #perthshire #beavertourism
We had a couple of fantastic #swift walks in Angus this week. In #Arbroath we had a screaming party of 19 - far bigger than expected - and found 2 new nest sites. What a night! They are all now on the #Swiftmapper. Floss was good at listening out for screaming parties 😀

A very brief view of one of the Fife Ospreys today just as the rain came - but well worth the trip

This question comes up regularly. Do swifts tidy the nest site?

Taylor's not the only Swift in town! 🪩
Swifts are summer migrants to the UK, returning from their wintering grounds all the way in sub-Saharan Africa!
