So today is the big day.. The 18 August 2026 is the last day Pauline Hanson’s One Nation party has to lodge three years of overdue audited financial statements. The missing documents are the audited financial reports for the 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2025-25 financial years. Apparently One Nation submitted basic - very basic - financial returns but left out the legally required audited statements under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981. One Nation blamed the “high turnover of staff”. Yeh, that’s legit 🙄 Given the nature and the incompetence of past and present One Nation staff it would be expected - but it’s still not legally acceptable. Hanson and One Nation continue to demonstrate that they can’t run a chook raffle let alone a party, with clear evidence here that they can’t even get their finances organised. After 3 years of dodging and weaving, I have to wonder whether One Nation have got something to hide. 🤨 One Nation run a clear deregistration risk in Queensland - which will be disastrous for ON in the hillbilly capital of Australia. The QLD LNP might just be spooked enough with regard to a potential LNP election wipeout triggered by One Nation to make that happen. The current One Nation rise in QLD could mimic the 1998 LNP election loss and virtual wipeout of the Nationals when One Nation won 11 seats - and the LNP lost power to Labor. Good times. Show us ya books. If Hanson has got nothing to hide with fellow dodge-ball player James Ashby, there should be no problems. As an aside, James Ashby used to be Hanson’s chief of staff but has conveniently recently become the ON national party director. As chief of staff, Ashby managed campaigns and party OPERATIONS - and has done so since 2016. Interesting times, to be sure 🙄
