This is pretty amazing! But what are the 3D framerates? 🤓

Impressive. A wearable patch that acquires continuous, real-time ultrasound images of the heart at rest, on the go, and during exercise (echocardiograms) with automated processing

Excellent example of a play-by-play work up for undifferentiated shock complete with diagnostic conundrums and data pointing in multiple directions. Thank you for posting!

Whoa, wearable echo!
Wow. A wearable ultrasound patch for continuous, on the go, high-quality imaging of most parts the human body.
A remarkable new innovation with diverse clinical applications @ScienceMagazine science.org/doi/10.1126/scie… @ProfZhaoMIT @ChongheWang @MIT @MITMechE
Kudos to the person holding the probe for keeping the view! If it were me I would have been…noticeably less stable.

This is the incredible story of an anesthesiologist who, in 1946, purposefully paralyzed himself using curare.
Though conditions were controlled, by the end of the experiment he was wide awake and fully paralyzed, without any sedation.

CPR is great if the heart is trying to kill the body. It is not helpful when the dying body is taking the heart with it...
What happened to #Eriksen is EXACTLY what CPR was invented for… a heart stopping suddenly in an otherwise healthy body. Whereas if someone’s heart stops because other parts of the body are malfunctioning , that’s ordinary dying. And CPR is not a treatment for ordinary dying.
Such a great visual demonstration of the physiology! Am betting this clip will make it into more than a few presentations. 👏🏻
