Community Management Role and/or Moderation roles are a MUST HAVE for launch
There are so many reasons, but just to list a couple...
- Only the owner of the community can currently post to the read-only channels. This means for Map Updates and other important Announcements. They have to log on to type/insert and re-format it, taking time out of development to do so.
- There are bound to be "toxic members" in the channels. People who post exploits, target/harass other users and are able to bypass Epic's security. Only the owner will be able to remove those users posts/replies from the community. The owner isn't always available to be on the community each day to handle that.
This feature without Community Management roles would be a significant struggle for some creators and teams, it 1000% needs to be something added as soon as possible (ahead of launch preferably).
Start building your Fortnite Community today:
🏝️Set up channels and forum-style threads for each island
📰Announcements can appear in Island Lobbies, Creator Pages, and Discover
💬Manage your own hub for island updates, info, and feedback

With mobile returning soon it would be really beneficial to players and creators to have a “Prioritize mobile matchmaking” option for our games.
Mobile players would attempt to join other mobile lobbies before the general lobbies. Creators would have the option to check the box if they feel it beneficial for their game.
This could help balance mobile players who may have a bad experience playing with / against PC and console users.

Not sure everyone will agree but personally I’m so glad EPIC isn’t allowing publishing with Scene Graph in islands and I hope they’ll consider restricting new features and devices in this way in the future!
Why?
- Allows creators time to test and familiarize themselves with new devices and features
- Allows EPIC time to get feedback, find / fix bugs
- Creators have time to build more robust games around new devices and features; aka it curbs the maps that just rush to add a feature sloppily into a game so they can get into a Discovery tab dedicated to the new feature.
- Players don’t have to deal with issues and poor experience solely due to new devices having bugs and rushed projects to include new features.
@FNCreate this is good!!

So last night EPIC pushed a hotfix that tanked creative maps - the fix was to revert back to a working version from before 29.00 update
Unfortunately seems like anyone who played during that time had their save data fully reset.
Hopefully EPIC can figure out how to restore save data cache and bring it back up to current creative map level. It’s impossible to explain to our players who put months of work into the games that they’ve lost their progress

Has anyone managed to fix the render distance issue where builds are not visible from a relatively shorts distance?
Only happens in UEFN games and players can shoot past enemy builds because they are de-rendered
I am glad they fixed this so fast, but this should really have been fixed before the update was released. At this point, it feels like Epic does not even test playing creative maps at all before they release an update.
Verse persistence and the analytics device are going to be huge for creative. I just hope the release doesn't get pushed back more.
CONFIRMED CREATIVES UPDATES IN Q1 2024:
- New Menu UI
- 'Square Thumbnails' in Discovery
- Analytics Device
- Verse Persistence
- Custom NPCs
