The difference between a wall and a flood defence wall.
The wall that collapsed at Tenbury last week was a simple brick wall not a flood defence.
The construction of the new defences at Bewdley show what’s needed to hold back flood water.
That’s why they cost £millions.

Very sad to see Tenbury underwater again.
This is flooding from the Kyre Brook rather than the River Teme.
The Teme is still rising and may flood other parts of the town soon.

Iron Age hill fort & territory of the Durotriges. In the vicinity there was Romano-British town Vindocladia.
One of the locations proposed as the place of the Battle of Badon fought between Britons and Anglo-Saxons (late 5C-early 6C).
