Coming out of the referendum and Danielle Smith somehow floor crossing inside of her own party…
The NDP are re-upping calls for a public inquiry into the “CorruptCare” scandal.

Every single word Dr. Thirsk testified is true…
But I’ve lost faith this govt will do anything meaningful coming out of this report
Look at the HQA report from 2012… lots of great recommendations… ignored.
Look at recent QAR review from March 2026 - accepted + ignored!
Superb reporting on this. Kudos to Warren Thirsk for telling it like it is. "There is no more low hanging fruit."
We need to double medical/nursing enrolment yesterday. We need new hospitals.
No more obfuscation.

@jengerson sure nailed it. Hijacking the mainstream conservative name via a coup is actually not an elected government or even democratic

It's time for a serious discussion about why Canadian hc underperforms.
I'm tired of 'solutions' that won't work and throwing money to make it 'go away'.
Canadians need our leaders to take seriously problems in the system we hang much of our identity on.
Can we ever talk about the root causes of our health system’s problems - and commit to addressing them? instead of making incremental funding announcements that won’t make any difference to overall system performance. But NO, that might create waves in an already stormy health care sea theglobeandmail.com/opinion/…
On the day that Mr. Sreekumar died waiting for care there were 48 out of 51 ED spaces in that ED blocked by sick patients that should have been admitted to hospital.
The ED was non-functional.
Govt knows the root cause, and has done nothing
This review will change NOTHING!
Man that died in Edmonton ER room needed immediate intervention: surgeon ctvnews.ca/edmonton/article/…
It's VERY SIMPLE:
On the day that Mr. Sreekumar died waiting for care there were 48 out of 51 Emergency Care spaces in that ED were blocked by sick patients that should have been admitted to hospital.
The ED was non-fuctional.
Govt and the CEO knows this and have done nothing
Why was a life threatening aortic dissection missed? And did a crowded ER play a role? @CTVNews
The health and access to timely medical care is not a priority of Danielle Smith and the UCP.
Why oh why would anyone vote for this?

Danielle Smith choose a $125,000,000 separatist referendum over:
👨⚕️ 357 to 416 Rural Family Doctors
🥼 168 to 235 Specialists/Surgeons
👩⚕️ 1,315 Registered Nurses
🏪 5 to 12 brand-new Urgent Care Centres
🎗️ 4 regional Cancer Treatment clinics
Priorities Matter.

These numbers are not a mandate, especially given the structural problems with the questions.

It’s takes no political courage to join the winning side after a vote.

Someone owes Albertans $130M for this theatrical waste of taxpayers money

Emergency rooms can do a lot to improve patient flow. But even the best-run ER will struggle if the rest of the hospital can't keep up. More on that in the next episode.

So, the premier blew $200M of our money on her separatist friends & a propaganda-driven push poll...
Now she's blowing more tax dollars on a paid TV address so she doesn't have to answer to any pesky reporters. Danielle Smith: Picking fights & wasting money. #ableg #cdnpoli
Albertans picked up a pencil yesterday and answered ten hard questions about our future.
That is democracy at its finest and tonight we talk about what comes next.
Join me live on CTV, Global, CityNews, Facebook, X or YouTube at 6:45pm— as we go through the referendum results, what they mean for this province, and what comes next.

"It’s clear the referendum results are a rejection of the separatist belief that Canada is irreparably broken. Most Albertans view it as fixable and worth repairing." But the fixes remain contentious.

Alberta’s referendum will cost $90,000,000 of YOUR money!
🦴 7,500 hip surgeries
👨⚕️ 321 family doctors
🏥 15 rural medical centres
♿ $200/mo top-up for 37,500 AISH recipients
Instead…The UCP Alberta clawed back $200/mo from 77,000 disabled citizens
Thanks Danielle!
How much will the referendum on having a referendum, and on 9 questions that can’t be provincially implemented cost?
$90 million tax dollars. 60,000 workers to be hired by Elections Alberta.
You could build 3 schools for that.
That’s your money

Reminder to political leaders in Alberta, Albertans were always more concerned about these issues than independence.
New polling from @abacusdataca out of Wednesday will signal a clear call to get back to work

This STUPID referendum was $125,000,000
That’s:
🚑 415 fully equipped ground ambulances
✈️ 14 specialized medevac aircraft
🚒 52 urban pumper fire trucks
🏥 5 to 8 brand-new rural health care centres
Albertans literally got NOTHING of benefit
What a damn waste.
