Surelyyyyyy not, right?
The Phillies have until 5 p.m. ET today to extend the one-year, $23.15 million qualifying offer to Alec Bohm.
At that same time, MLB’s five-day exclusive negotiating window closes, allowing free agents to officially begin signing with other team. More at @NBCSPhilly.

This came out the day after the Phillies were eliminated and was speculation from Ken Rosenthal.
Putting this tweet out 20 days later and not including the correct context is terrible work.
The only way Bryce Harper would waive his no-trade clause is if the team who trades for him extends him past his current remaining contract of 5-years, per @Ken_Rosenthal
Harper is in the final 5-year stretch of a 13-year $330 million contract that ends in 2031. He’ll be 39 by then

Overall, thought that was a refreshing Dave presser.
Seemed irked, there was accountability.
Loved the talk about getting contemporary from the hitting side and using the information they provide.
Very curious about roster make up now though because it really seemed like the only guy that is definitely gone is Bohm.

Dave Dombrowski said it’s “mandatory” that Trea Turner play a better shortstop in 2027 and Turner is “determined” to show the Phillies he can. For now, the Phillies are keeping him at SS, but Dombrowski discussed position changes with Turner. He prefers to stay on infield.
Bryson Stott is what he is at the plate, he’s 29 years old. It’s not changing, to put it in perspective Bryce had already won both of his MVPs by that age…
From @jaysonst: The Phillies requested to interview to Chase Utley and Raul Ibañez for manager job. They said thanks but no thanks. More here: nytimes.com/athletic/7691356…
And just like that the Dodgers are done, there are a million ways to build a winning baseball team and this Brewers team has found an elite way

Let the change begin, Phillies looking to find a better hitting coach and infield coach. #Phillies
If keeping Don Mattingly means Caleb Cotham is retained then fine…but there still needs to be REAL change in personnel and decision making #Phillies
No…
Don Mattingly appears to have a decent or better chance to be retained as Phillies manager. Went 79-55 to get into playoffs after taking over 9-19 team and has the respect of players and front office, as I said on @MLBNetwork
